terrible game/level design...to the people who made this game...they should probably think of a different career path..why is it that you have to restep on a switch to activate it again? if a character is on a switch, switching back and forth between characters should activate it again...also the character voices are maaaaad annoying ..default should be off. also default controls are horrendous too

This game LEGIT bugged my brain to the point that right after finishing a session, I was writing something in chat to someone and I felt like it was being mirrored somewhere else on the screen

Fun but very brain-wracking with the reversed controls. Very much a budget title but the game is quite satisfying to get right.

A fun and challenging puzzle platformer. Execution gets challenging as you go on, especially when going for faster stage times. Because of the difficulty, devising faster solutions and pulling off tricky manuevers are incredibly satisfying.

This game is awesome!! Haven't really finished it yet but started playing it! I recommended this game to people who like solving puzzles. Also l love the voices the girls make, it sounds calming and relaxing! This is like 10/10 for me, even though im not one of those puzzles solvers, it is still enojoyable.

The short: You control two characters in a well-made puzzle-platformer that expects you to be VERY proficient at controlling them by the end. Recommended if you enjoy tough puzzles that also require precise execution to complete and you like the anime aesthetic; otherwise, you probably ought to pass. Controller recommended, unless you're fine with breaking whatever key you bind Synchro to. *Note: I played the game before it was released on steam, hence the low playtime. The long: Reverse x Reverse (RxR) is a puzzle-platformer with the core gameplay mechanic of simultaneously managing two characters, each with their own unique ability (one can dash, and the other can double jump). The first few stages provide a gentle introduction to the game while the player gets used to controlling the pair. These intro stages are followed by a steady stream of new gameplay mechanics, which are accompanied by an initially reasonable difficulty ramp... but the last world is a monster on its own, so be prepared to endure a lot of frustration. Additionally, there are several puzzles that will require you to think, react, and execute rather quickly and precisely, especially if you choose to pursue high scores for each stage, so keep that in mind when considering a purchase. Most importantly, in my opinion, RxR passes all of the checks for a good puzzle-platformer: good stage/puzzle design, tight controls, steady introduction of new mechanics (and combinations of old)... combined with good artwork, music, spritework, and voicework, this was genuinely one of my favorite games of 2015.

You have to guide Code and Rithm through 81 levels in order to destroy all the bugs. Code can dash while Rithm can do a double-jump into slow fall. That's pretty much it. You will have to control both characters, sometimes separately, other times simultaneously, making sure that neither of them are killed throughout the stage, as dying means you have to redo the (usually short) stage from scratch. Throughout the game you will find triggers which will shift the screen left or right, reverse gravity, make the characters swap positions, and so on. And like in any decent platformer there are plenty of platforms, insta-death spikes, enemies with various abilities, and so on. The game strikes a nice balance between puzzle-style platforming (where the stage is easy to beat if you know how) and more reaction-based skill-style platforming (where the stage is hard even if you know what you're supposed to do). On top of that, the game has a couple of cute (and voiced!) anime girls which show up in between worlds (there are 9 worlds x 9 stages in total). The hardest stage took me 496 tries to S-rank (luckily the stage was only 40 seconds long), and if you're the type of player who don't mind replaying the same stage hundreds of times just in order to get an S-rank, then Reverse x Reverse is for you. If not, then you should probably pass. Personally, I really enjoyed it, and if you're a fan of challenging platformers then I'm sure you'll enjoy it as well. Highly recommended!
