Best of out the entire trilogy. Definitely recommend playing, its funny and goofy while managing to stay dark. No fanservice scenes either. Only play this Danganronpa game DO NOT even touch the others.

While I'm not exactly a big fan, I do have some experience with Visual Novels. Even the usual Japanese lunacy doesn’t faze me, as I quite liked AI: The Somnium Files. However, Danganronpa didn’t resonate with me at all. It certainly has a variety of characters, but most of them come across as shallow archetypes. It includes gameplay sections, but they're awkwardly executed. On the one hand, you’re constantly forced to guess exactly what the game wants you to do, even if you’ve already figured out what's going on (Closing Arguments). On the other hand, it ends up testing your reflexes more than your cognitive skills (Nonstop Debates). Having recently played Lucifer Within Us, I found its investigative approach much more my thing. Interesting cases might have redeemed its other shortcomings, but sadly, that wasn’t the case. The first murder is downright absurd—the killer's name is literally written at the crime scene. Yet, you're forced to spend an hour jumping through hoops, playing dumb mini-games to prove the painfully obvious. The second case is admittedly better and even has a few clever twists, but the annoying game mechanics spoil the whole experience.

Truly spectacular game, dynamic visual novel that captures from the first chapter and ends with a plot twist that you don't expect, I highly recommend going and playing it, even for the characters who are characterized and also at the design level they are fantastic and OSTs also completely immerse you in the world. Unfortunately there are some gaps therefore in school mode, and to go and find all the objects, but I'll talk if you want to go and platinum it, otherwise the game is fantastic

in argument for the best game iv ever played, I heavily enjoy the existence of Kyoko Kirigiri and Makoto Naegi and this will forever live inside my mind.

Love the characters and the storyline. If you have a mac, it will run just fine, but there may be a few cosmetic glitches (one of the security cameras kept glitching out for me). The game's content can be problematic in a 2025 context, but if you can tolerate anime shenanigans, you can tolerate the problematic elements in this game. Lots of charm, lovable characters, and I'm glad I bought it.
