Not as good as Ghost Bear, but still really nice. At first I was a bit worried since it was all set on the same world, but there is a nice amount of variety in the types of environments(both in architecture aswell as biome) so that was not a problem whatsoever. They also did a really good job of showcasing Comstar's dirty tactics in actual gameplay - terrain, mines, environment, ambushes, etc - really fun level design. Instead of a few longaf missions you have multiple shorter missions, which may be more comfortable on the higher difficulties. The characters seemed quite interesting at first, but I felt as though they story didn't give them enough screentime and didn't do enough with them (plus I played this right after the Ghost Bear Campaign and the squad there really resonated with me). The new mechs are awesome.

I thought this DLC was very well done. There is a nice mix of missions where heavy mechs are really important (e.g. hold this position against waves of enemies) and missions where you need lighter mechs because speed is paramount. Each of the mechs they added are wonderful, especially the Bane & Linebacker. The Linebacker is honestly solid in every mission.
I did run into bugs in a couple missions: In one, an enemy mech fell down a canyon & I couldn't get eyes or a sensor lock on it without leaving the mission area. The second is when a target you need to scan in the final mission never triggered, so I couldn't scan it. Restarting the missions resolved both issues.

In this DLC you feel more like an army unit on the frontline, than an adventurer, and I liked this for a change, as it fits the Clans storyline very well. Now all I need is more DLCs.

*Sigh* - Mixed feelings about this as a DLC, but if you like the base game, it's probably worth buying. It would be nice if some of the mission objectives weren't bugged, and it would be nice if it didn't crash and have issues, and it would be nice if the base game addressed some serious design issues that ofc impact the DLC, but this does add a nice, long campaign with a lot of different scenarios to your playlist.

It is really good expansion of the game, twenty new story missions with multiple interesting cinematics between them, new mechs. I enjoyed it a lot.

I buy every mechwarrior game available, as i love the franchise, this by extension means i buy pretty much everything piranha games pushes out, twice even, once on gog, then on steam again just to support the developers, but this DLC is honestly rubbish, the story line makes no sense, youre not invested in any of the characters, the delivery of the story is mostly static screens, and the missions are uninspired and biomes pretty rubbish too, and the mechs feel so much the same that it doesnt matter; unless you have a super stomp itch, i couldnt recommend this, even though i will continue to support them just because theyre the only one making mechwarrior content.

I'm about half way through it. I don't hate it but I don't love it either. Feels more phoned in compared to the Ghostbear expansion and compared to any Mech 4: Mercs expansion. It just feels a lot...shallow in comparison though I do like the new artillery weaponry.
Speaking of, I'm on a higher end PC and performance really chugged when using said artillery weapon. No excuse for that when I can run AAA games on ultra performance.
And to add insult to injury (not that it really matters) I "think" I know how the story for the main character is going to play out...but I'll have to wait and see.
I wont say the games not worth playing (it is) but it's not a "must play" if that makes sense!

I like Mechwarrior 5 Clans overall, despite its flaws.
I thought the Ghost Bear DLC was very good.
Wolves of Tukayyid is not good:
It features an underbaked story (even by MW5 Clans standards which I feel wasn't actually very strong anyway).
The main grievance though is it runs incredibly poorly, again even by Mechwarrior 5 Clans standards. The base game is not the most smoothly running thing but this DLC had missions that absolutely chugged my PC. I've got a pretty modern upper mid-range build (Specs attached) and on all medium settings + upscaling set to performance I would get ~30 FPS segments (i.e. not 1% GPU lows, lasting for the entire duration of fights). If your PC struggles with the base game I can only imagine that this must be an absolute slideshow on certain levels.
The levels themself are often pretty bland also, a lot of the campaign is just running across pretty open grass land.
Arrow IV missiles also feel overpowered.
