Years back, during the winter sale of 2010, Totalbiscuit threw this into a review he was doing and made me aware it was $0.37 and that I couldn't even get a mini packet of crisps for that price. So I did, and it's pretty good! I'd say the $5 asking price is also worth it. It's an enjoyable little game.
Unfortunately my time on record doesn't reflect the actual time played, as many many moons ago, Steam didn't count time played if you were playing in offline mode. (Something I often did back then due to unreliable internet access on my laptop when going places.)
It's certainly not some Shakespearean level of plot depth or anything, but it's still pretty good and is genuinely entertaining. I had fun with it, and it's well overdue that I at least give it the thumbs up recommendation it deserves, even if I am a good 15 years late with that.
