I'm goona put my review here, event though what im writing also counts for the answer arcs.
This VN will ask a lot from you. It want's you to pay attention, it asks you to spend a ludicrous amout of time on it, it kind of wants you to try to solve its mysteries, and that you trust its writer that its story will actually lead to a satisfying conclusion. After 150 hours in total I can tell you, it's absolutely worth it.
BUT I had quite a few moments where my resolve was being tested harshly. Moments where I thought "What on earth was ryukishi on when writing this?".
This VN has more hype moments than all of JOJO combined, but also more weird little problems, that sometimes never get resolved, than my spelling.
Take your time with this one and trust, that even if right now a scene or character feels completely out of this world and outlandish, it will lead to something amazing. You only have to put in the time, and willingness to really think about whats happening in here. Simply reading and letting the VN give you all the answers will not lead to a satisfying coclusion.

One of the most powerful pieces of writing created in the 21st century, the characters, the story, the message(s), everything in this visual novel is crafted with the utmost care and love from the author, and goes beyond just being a piece of fiction for many people, and inspired them to become people able to see with love. If you are interested in a story that will forever stay with you after you read it give it a chance, it's long, yes, but PLEASE do give it a whirl.
I dedicate this review to my beloved witch, Beatrice.

Umineko: When They Cry - Question Arcs
🌕 Without love, it cannot be seen 🌕
At first glance, it looks like a traditional murder mystery. A wealthy family gathers on a remote island. People die. Storms rage. The end.
But then it happens again. And again. And then a witch walks in and everything shifts.
What starts as a classic whodunit turns into a mind-bending battle of interpretations. You are not reading a mystery. You are being challenged to understand a mystery, to filter truth from lies through logic, emotion, and empathy. Suddenly, you understand how important the howdunnit is, and most importantly, the whydunnit.
This is not a story that gives you answers. It gives you tools and dares you to use them.
What to expect:
✔️ Long, dense prose with heavy introspection and dialogue
✔️ Layered narrative structure with metafictional elements
✔️ Themes of truth, love, perspective, and illusion
✔️ A soundtrack that goes unbelievably hard for a visual novel
✔️ Characters who start flat but become unforgettable
💬 This is my favorite story ever and I hope you enjoy it too! 💬
WITHOUT LOVE, IT CANNOT BE 'SEEN'!
Man, this game is long, isn't it?
The game is full of mystery until the very end, I kept asking "what the h*** am I reading?" through out the game, which is very expected from a game with "Question" in its title. I really enjoyed the read and had a roller coaster of emotions with this game. Now onto the Answer Arcs!
For anyone wondering, I recommend using 07th MOD patch for the best experience.
HOT TAKE: I prefer Pachinko sprites to PS3 sprites, change my mind!
