Main Character Vibes
Anime is filled with tropes, some good, some neutral, some awful. I'm on the mix of whether the trope that Kurumi brings to the show is good, or awful. There's a lot of things to consider. I have distinct and very nostalgic feelings for old-school anime, and this game looks and reminds me of that stuff. Although I never saw the show "Card Captor Sakura," in sub, I do remember the dub, the music, the odd way characters behaved. Repeated in my mind is the show "Tokyo Mew Mew," and "Sailor Moon." Which showcased these types of characters I'd never really seen before, the ditsy girl, the cool girl, the girl that doesn't like to admit she likes someone. These were just some of those very odd characters, that you honestly don't get a whole lot of, or any at all in American cartoons. Kurumi is the ditsy strong girl, who gives of main character vibes. Her whole story (if the comics are to be believed) the only one who's able to fuse with the "Antagonist/Misunderstood Alien." She also has some link to her, and is able to expel a lot of "psychic," energy. She leaps in the air, and smashes her hard head on enemies, and somehow it deals a lot of damage. She can't explain her powers, she just has them, as it were, she could be a combination of Goku meets Sailor Moon. The always Aloof character, that just wants some sort of happy ending, or something that's just unobtainable. Her moves are reminiscent of that, but I don't usually play characters like that. Also for 4 dollars, you're honestly getting scammed, if it were tied into the other 2 characters, then sure, it'd be worth the 5 dollars, but then again, if you buy super smash bros dlc on day one, you're also going to pay for this. I can't recommend due to price, but it's odd to keep a main character out of the base game like that. Imagine if Mario was DLC for Super Smash bros.
