The original version may be free but this is definitely the definitive way to experience the game. The game may crash when trying to load it but the fix is pretty easy to find online. The combat in this version feels way smoother than the original and even has a few new weapons and maps. Add on to that the rampage and multiplayer modes and you have a very solid experience, especially when it is on sale. There may not be much, but what's there is pretty fun.

plays smooth as butter, way more satisfying and game-y than the original. i do prefer the original game's art style (especially the super postal levels) but all the new backgrounds and cutscene art are great. the new rampage OST tracks are also ridiculously good too, plus this version kept the same ambiance and score which is a perfect choice.

A really fun isometric massacre simulator. Don't expect anything deep and don't expect much replay value. The game is a fun 2-3 hour violent parade that exists to serve as a pallet cleanser.

Game crashes after ~30 seconds and doesn't save any changed settings because of it. While I love RWS' stuff and their jank, this is just unplayable.

If you're coming into this game expecting the goofiness of POSTAL 2, well you'll be in for a shock. The original game release back in 1997, based off the term of "going postal". It was shown off at E3 with adverts at the event depicting the unmistakable image of an AK-47, although the game was a bit clunky (day one ver) it did definitively won some people over.
In 2016, Redux was released. Adding improved (depends) visuals, QoL stuff, and other bits and pieces. You play as The POSTAL Dude who has to kill their way through 17 levels (13 if you're playing on original). What makes this entry stand out is that this is a twin stick shooter. Not a FPS. It's an alright twin stick. Then you have the tone.
There is barely any music in game. Only menus, loading screens, and credits have music. Some of the world does play music to a degree, but it's mostly ambient. The loading screens had worsen in horror compared to the original. The music is a remaster and it does a pretty good job, with the exception of the main menu, I preferred the original.
The ending was switched up from the original for obvious reasons. The ending cinematic remains the same as the original.
Overall
The POSTAL Redux does a good job at remastering (to a certain extent) while also adding QoL features and bundling some maps from the expansion and such. POSTAL 2 is getting the redux treatment as well so look out for that!
and I regret nothing playing this game
For the price.... Eeeh it's fine.
Fun for the first playthrough - though it gets stale fast afterwards. Fantastic OST and atmosphere though. Somewhat more fun in Co-Op.
This is a very Style-Over-Substance game, very mediocre in general but has some decent gameplay mechanics.

Surprisingly competent remake of Postal with refreshing new visuals that does not stray too far from the source material.
Unfortunately requires some light fiddling to not crash on some newer CPUs because of some issue with the version of OpenSSL used in this game, but runs without issues afterwards.
