Its a slow start, and things can get buggy when you start playing with some of the more powerful programming pieces, but when your character is a hacker, you should expect to break things every now and then. Story is short, the programming sandbox part of the game is where almost all the time I've played was spent. If that isn't for you, you won't get much out of this game. If it is for you, to my knowledge this game is a unique experience.
Really wish someone would pick up the ideas here and make a bigger and more polished successor.

the game is amazing.
the whole Dorisburg is alive, NPCs are interesting and the intro is not boring at all(at least for me).
bunch of hidden floppies and PCs make the exploring fascinating.
don't even need to mention the programming part. customizing and enhancing my own tools is a very unique experience. the whole process is full of a sense of accomplishment.

I really want to like this game... but it's so slow and has a host of problems. It has a pretty bad UI, you can't move the camera around to make up for not being able to zoom out enough, your bag is too small, you spend forever just figuring out how to even START playing the real game (if you Google it, you can get there faster, but I tried to do it a few years later without Googling, and I'm just bored. So. bored.). It's not a game about curiosity. It's a game about being patient for a trickle of information, when you need a waterfall to do anything.
