This game is so bad, most linear progression I've ever seen. World is divided into areas with 2 waypoints, you complete one area, you unlock next one and you're never coming back to the previous ones....
Story is so plain and has nothing common with Gothic except NPCs names.
Graphics looks like shit and this game works like shit, I even had to fix one video file in game files to not crash at startup

I replayed Arcania: Gothic 4 again after more than 10 years (close to 15y).
I liked it and, although it isn't an RPG of the quality of the old Gothics, I found it enjoyable.
I loved the moments when the player/character met with the old characters from the previous Gothics (1 to 3), and this Arcania new tale seems to make a good remix out of it. There is a new main hero - rather incisive at first in actions and words -, whom the producers try to fit into a sequel of the Gothic story.
New characters and landscapes are also present, and some quests are memorable.
My advise is to not be discouraged that Arcania is not as good as Gothic, but see it as a Fantasy RPG of its own.
As I play mainly for the stories anyway, I felt relaxed while playing this remix of the old Gothics.
