The story is sad and hair-raising. Although I don't fully understand what happened, the tragedy of the characters touched my heart. And I think this is the first game that has frightened me so much, despite the fact that you can't die in it.

More of an atmospheric horror game than a jumpscare-filled game, definitely a plus in that regard.
Really good buildup on tension, and a pretty nice story, revealed through nnotes and items found through the playthrough.

I liked the game. I finished it in 4.2 hours. It's not a long game. Looking at the achievements, it seems I missed quite a bit of things, but this kind of games is not very replayable (assuming replaying it doesn't change much the first play), so I won't replay it in some time.
It is a good game, pretty scary, and I enjoyed it. The biggest issue I see with it would be that it is little of a game and more of a Ghost Train. Most of what you do is moving from one room to another in the established order and discover details of the story through notes and objects. So it is more of an experience than a game. But again, it is pretty good terror experience, with a fantastic ambiance and some good scares.

Peak family horror. The atmosphere gets the job done and sets you up for some good jumpscares; in fact, this is one of the few horror games that kind of abuses jumpscares but actually executes them really well as they don't really get old. The storytelling is very well crafted, with good voice acting and engaging notes. The choices, though ambiguous at first, make sense once you put the pieces of the story together, a story that is indeed pretty good: it is tragic but the endings give it some nice closure.
The DLC part
of the toy cat
is the cutest thing I've seen in a horror game.

This game is simple but powerful. It tells a dark and sad story using compelling visuals and dark themes and backdrops. A quick game to scratch the itch of solving a mystery, and the glimpse into the life of a man slowly slipping away into madness.

This is a really good horror game. It may not be for everyone because of its focus on the plot rather than focusing on gameplay. I personally like playing these types of games from time to time, so for the most part, story driven games boil down to your preference. I think this is a really good game, and it is worth while!
The only cons I have for the game is that some of the sound effects were taken straight out of Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. Some sounds will loop in the background and can get annoying to listen to. And finally, the monster in the game is not very threatening, and is easily avoided by simply not going near her. But, that won't be an issue since you can literally out-walk them.
For the most part, it's a decent little horror game. It's very short! You can easily beat the game in under two hours on a first play-through, so it's a good game to pass some time if your in the horror mood.
I'd give this game a solid 7/10.
