[h1]A mix of ominous synthwave beats and Enoesque ambience[/h1] from composer Karel Antonín ([i]Space Engineers[/i]) enhance [i]Dex[/i]’s paint-by-number cyberpunk setting, and as locations are visited and revisited over the course of the game, the music lends them a familiar, lived-in feel. Frequent percussive buildups and orchestral swells betray a heavy influence from, and almost feel like short studies for, Daft Punk’s celebrated [i]Tron Legacy[/i] film soundtrack from a few years prior.
With a median track length of just seventy-two seconds, and a few tracks that are little more than a flourish, the frequent start-and-stop make the album too distracting to listen to while engaged in anything that requires focus and flow. Throw it on for light reading or urban exploration, but look elsewhere to soundtrack your studying or coding.

Wow! so happy I found this indie gem. Amazing story line, excellent voice acting and the first side-scroller I could really sink my teeth into since Castlevania SOTN. I love it. Well done Devs.

I love this soundtrack. Beautiful ambiance that's full of character and atmosphere. This music would be great for any game, which is why I'm going to be playing it in the background when I play most anything else.

This was one of the first soundtracks I spent any time listening to, and it remains one of my favourites to go back to. The variety of the tracks suit every area one can visit in the game, and come together with the story and art style to really immerse the player. I can never remember the name of where I am, but I know if I hear the song.
I fully recommend the game, and honestly, I think it would be a mistake to get it without the soundtrack. It's the perfect background music for those who need a little noise in their day-to-day life.

Very good soundtrack! It is missing a few theme songs: Downtown, Redlight District, Highrise, and China Gate -- Highrise being my favorite!
Also, it is missing all of the combat themes as well as all of the hacking themes. Shame, because they aren't bad either.
That said, its overall a great soundtrack, but those missing tunes really hurt it in my opinion.
6/10, -4 for the missing tracks.
