I had finished Dead in Vinland when I decided to pull the trigger on Dead in Bermuda. Which was a good lesson why a little research before buying a game (even if it's only 2€ on sale) is never a bad idea. Dead in Vinland is a beautiful, complex and challenging survival game. Dead in Bermuda is punishment.
In short, this is a raw, brutal and completely unfair survival management game with some ridiculous mechanics. The game starts you in a death spiral pretty much from the beginning, where deteriorating conditions inevitably outrun any progress you make. At least on your first few runs. Then you find the "Easy" mode. Because "Normal" is for people who enjoy wasting their time rerunning the same scenario again and again, hoping for a slightly better ressource allocation so they just might break the death spiral. Fair if that's your cup of tea, but to me that feels like a tremendous chore, of which I already have enough.
