enjoyed the first game more mainly due to this one feeling a lot more unfair, mainly difficulty wise but also felt more convoluted sometimes, also despite having more interesting locations and factions than the first, i didn't find the story or villain as good, i still had a good time overall (despite spending what felt like half of the game frustrated) but have much less desire to revisit this to completion

Very hard but fun once you get the hang of it. Start with fallout 1 for an easier experience.

Don't know how i don't have a review but i have barely even played Fallout 2 and it is my favorite Fallout game, if it weren't for the time limit, i would've beaten this by now, it's that good and i recommend anyone play it, it's a hard game

I played this game when it was first released and loved it. AUG 2025 just started replaying - Classic version - for old times sake. LOVING IT AGAIN. Working well no bugs yet. Edit: Very strange the game seems to have forgotten me. I finished the game twice back in the day and tried out dozens of character builds for awhile I should have Hundreds of Hours ???

yeah i COULD go find the geck. or i could spend five years doing not that. they call me angel eyes in new reno, both as a *film* star and mafia title. if you can get over 90's PC RPG bullshit, then this game has so much to enjoy. highly reccomend, the starting headache/mental breakdown is worth it. go forth my five companions.

It started off pretty well, but as soon as i got on the map interface and tried to travel from Arroyo's village to another location, the cursor started to freeze and everything stopped working despite the fact that I have a high-end PC. How can this puny 541MB game freeze and crash on my computer ? well i don't have a clue Still this isn't the first time I've had to refund a game I bought on Steam or look for an unofficial patch. It might be the last time I bother. If you want to play this game, which to be fair, could definitely be worth your while; you might want to consider downloading it elsewhere. i just state that as a warning, if it happened to me despite my computer, the likelihood of it happening to you is pretty high i would say... (you can also download an external patch, works too)

I have 33 hours and restarted the game once. Still have not beaten it, but it's pretty damn good

Such an awesome experience. SO many things to explore and it expands on the first game in nearly every way possible. It's a bit tough to get into, but hey once you learn the system and gameplay it is just so rewarding. Really wish my car didn't disappear tho.

There's some sort of issue with the World Map. Everything runs correctly in the first town Arroyo, but as soon as you leave, the World Map freezes completely. I've done research on this - turns out it is a fairly common problem - something to do with the port to modern Windows. No specific solution was found, other than recommendations to change some values in certain *.ini files - none of those worked. I've requested a refund. What a bummer - it started off well, but now it's broken.
