The web version is great. Such a fun game to mess around in. But now there's the steam version. Don't buy this if you play on Steam Deck. You can't resize the screen (not the canvas, the whole screen) in desktop mode, meaning your display will be quite small even with the biggest canvas setting. Gaming mode is even worse. It's locked at a 4:3 aspect ratio with image quality fuzzier than my cat, no matter how much I tamper with the resolution on the game page thing (idk what it's called). Please add an option to alter the resolution within the game itself. A great game, just ruined a bit by some fixable issues. Thank you in advance for any outcome.

Played it a lot on my phone during boring days and long waits. I'm glad to finally see it on steam and support it. Kudos to the dev!

Sandboxels is like the ultimate sandbox. There are no rules and you can even break the "rules" of the game itself by getting mods and this is all for under 2 dollars steal of a deal imo + it supports the creator, who could use a buck or 2 ngl

Typical game that comes your way when you least expect it and never knew you needed it until it becomes irreplacable. Thank you.

Genuinely an amazing game. I've been playing Sandboxels online for some time now, and it caught my interest from the get-go. The amount of possibilities astound me. It is impossible to get bored. When the main game content gets stale, as all games do, Sandboxels has an active modding and save creation community. I would highly recommend you purchase this game, and enjoy everything it has to offer.

Okay, so first of all, the material/element library is impressive. There is so much to choose from and quite a few of the elements have unique reactions with each other. Most of the options are also really good and almost none of them seem pointless. The graphics are also good, I like the look of most of the elements. This powder game does have a few issues though. First of all, it would benefit so much from a larger environment, so smaller pixel size. The game runs without issues at its current size and seems like it would run just as well being twice the size. A much better and easier to use UI is also needed. The UI could be a lot better, it is very cluttered now and even after a few hours of playing, I still waste too much time looking for things. It would also be good to be able to save and load games and maybe even just mark and save an area that can be spawned or pasted into a new environment. A bit like how contraptions work in “People Playground.” If these blueprints were a feature, something like adding Steam Workshop would also become a possibility. [strike]This is probably the best powder game option currently on Steam and incidentally also the cheapest. But with the changes above implemented could become the best powder game made so far.[/strike] I had originally crowned this as the best of its kind on Steam, but I was at the time unaware of who the true king actually was. So I highly recommend to try out “The Powder Toy.” It is free to play and just bigger and better than Sandboxels in every way. __________________ Follow my Curator for more!
