Love this game rogue lite team building experience with the 80s flair!

I do not recommend this game to anyone. We tried playing it with friends, and it was unbearably boring—our eyes even started to hurt. The game falls apart at its very core gameplay elements. Instead of a proper tutorial, the player is bombarded with walls of text to read. There is no impact on enemies; you’re basically just running around hitting damage sponges. The visual style is inconsistent—characters and interactive objects follow one style, while the environment follows another. There’s also a noticeable graininess. Procedural generation consists of just 3–5 modules, and patterns become obvious even in the very first mission.
A Surprisingly Deep and Polished Adventure
Takes heavy inspiration from 80s animated series such as He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Just the right amount of cheese, without being annoying :) MythForce has been a fun romp so far, offering more depth than it initially appears to. It’s well-polished (I didn’t encounter any bugs or major issues) and has a great level of attention to detail. For instance, the game features thematic sound effects (love the twang when setting off a tripwire!) and noticeable visual updates to character weapons and equipment when leveling up. In terms of multiplayer, I experienced occasional rubber-banding when connecting to friends on the other side of the world, but overall, it remained playable without issue. The party system is stable and supports quitting and rejoining mid-game. Regarding loot, while gold is shared, item drops (though temporary for that run) are not - so cooperation and fairness between you and your friends are necessary. The difficulty settings are well-balanced, ranging from Easy, Normal, and Hard to the increasingly challenging Mythic levels (1, 2, and 3) for those seeking a real test. Having followed the dev blogs over the last few months regarding the big changes and feature updates coming in v1.2, I'm super excited for the future! Overall, I’d say MythForce is well worth it—especially when on sale.
