Please generate more companies to compete with me. Because when I opened the list of all companies, I saw only about 20 companies. It feels unrealistic that there are only 20 companies in the whole world.

I got this game a long while ago when it was very very early access, I saw the potential in it and let it sit in my library for a long while...... I am soooo happy I came back to it! it is amazing! there is sooooo much depth to this game. The loop is sooooo fun and it doesn't drown you right away, it almost lets you slowly dip your toes in and you realize how deep the depth of the mechanics are the further you go! Buuutttt like I said it doesn't drown you! At the 31 hours I would say I still havent completed all the tutorials, which is awesome because theyre little windows for the different mechanics as you encounter them instead of throwing you all in at once. The graphics are not some crazy amazing high realistic quality, but they are crisp and homey if that makes any sense at all? The music is relaxing and lovely and even the placement of items sound that I almost always turn off is even nice for some reason. This is exactly what I was looking for recently a game that I can casually come and go from that still feels like i am making lots of progress that offers this really deep game play that doesnt dry out easily. So worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the cherry on top, regualr updates!
Why Software Inc. is a Great Game: Insights from 69 Hours of Gameplay
After spending 69 hours playing Software Inc., I can confidently say that it is one of the best business simulation games available. Developed by Coredumping, this indie title offers an incredibly detailed and immersive experience in managing a software company. It combines deep economic mechanics, extensive customization, and engaging gameplay loops that keep players coming back. My time in the game has shown me just how much strategy and creativity go into running a successful software empire. Realistic Business Simulation One of the biggest strengths of Software Inc. is its realistic approach to business management. Players start with a small office, a handful of employees, and a dream of building the next big tech company. The game challenges players to make strategic decisions about hiring, project management, and product development. The financial system in Software Inc. is particularly impressive. Income fluctuates based on product sales, deals, and marketing effectiveness. Managing expenses—such as employee salaries, office maintenance, and software licenses—is crucial to long-term success. Unlike many other simulation games, this one does not handhold players; poor financial management can easily lead to bankruptcy, forcing players to think critically about their business decisions. Deep Customization and Creativity Customization is another area where Software Inc. excels. From the very beginning, players can design their own company logo, choose a company name, and even define the company's specialization. The ability to create and manage custom teams allows for a personal touch in how the company operates. The office design feature is one of the most satisfying aspects of the game. Players can construct their own buildings, design office layouts, and optimize workspaces for efficiency and employee satisfaction. The ability to place furniture, create open-concept workspaces, or even build multi-story office towers adds a layer of creativity that is rare in business simulators. Engaging Gameplay Loop At its core, Software Inc. is a game about balancing multiple complex systems, and it does so in a way that keeps players engaged for hours. The loop of researching new technologies, hiring the right employees, and competing with rival companies creates a rewarding cycle. Developing software products—whether it's operating systems, games, or office applications—is both challenging and rewarding. Players must decide whether to innovate with new features or focus on refining existing ones. Marketing campaigns, customer support, and handling software bugs all add to the realism and depth of the gameplay. As the company grows, new challenges emerge. Managing large teams becomes a test of leadership, as assigning the right employees to the right tasks significantly affects efficiency. The introduction of AI competitors and shifting market trends forces players to adapt their strategies over time. Satisfying Progression and Long-Term Goals One of the most enjoyable aspects of Software Inc. is its sense of progression. Starting from a small startup in a garage and eventually growing into a multi-billion-dollar corporation is incredibly rewarding. Seeing employees grow in skill, products gain recognition, and profits soar makes every decision feel meaningful. Additionally, the game allows players to take different paths to success. Some might focus on becoming a software giant, while others may build a company that primarily supports other businesses through contract work. The variety of strategies and possible outcomes ensures that no two playthroughs feel exactly the same. Conclusion After 69 hours in Software Inc., I can confidently say that it is one of the most immersive and rewarding simulation games available. Its realistic business mechanics, deep customization, engaging gameplay loop, and satisfying progression make it a must-play for fans of management sims. Whether you're a casual player or someone who enjoys optimizing every detail, Software Inc. offers a unique and endlessly enjoyable experience.

This game is absolutely incredible, you can do almost anything you can imagine! I especially love the multiplayer aspect, as it allows you and your friends to collaborate seamlessly. The ability to contract each other for different company roles adds a whole new level of strategy and immersion, making the experience even more engaging. I do hope the developer improves the tutorials, as the game can be quite confusing at first. However, it's absolutely worth taking the time to watch YouTube guides to learn the mechanics—once you get the hang of it, the experience is incredibly rewarding!

I've been playing this game since early early alpha, and It's one of my favorites. However recently there has been a ton of features added, some that I have never touched and the game is a little too easy to cheese imo. I wish it had a more in depth economy and focus on actually making software.

I consider this game as a 4X game. Start as a single developer, grow to a corporation of over 400 employees. Crush the competition... go big on the stock market... invest in illegal gold... get caught cause you did not have a big enough accounting division... lose all your best employees... go bankrupt... start again. I love this game.

One of the most complex and feature rich management sims based around software/games/IT you could ask for If you've wanted a sim/business game based on anything vaguely IT related, this game has nearly complete freedom for you to do anything you want to whether its programs, servers, distribution, publishing, game development, software development, operating systems, consoles, hardware, stocks, and so forth Its quite complex and overwhelming to get into, but its an amazing game, with the ability to play online with friends or solo as is
