I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Astronner has been nothing short of frustrating. After putting in a significant amount of time and effort to craft my vehicle, I was finally able to build something I was proud of. I had used almost all of my available resources to assemble it, and the feeling of accomplishment was real.
However, after saving the game and exiting to take a break, I came back to find everything gone. The vehicle I had worked so hard to build was nowhere to be found, and to make matters worse, all of the materials I had used to create it were completely wiped out as well. It felt like all my progress had been erased in an instant, and this is an issue that completely undermines the game's experience.
This kind of game-breaking bug is unacceptable, especially when progress and resource management are at the core of the gameplay. It’s a glaring flaw that needs immediate attention from the developers. Until this issue is resolved, I cannot recommend Astronner to anyone, as it leaves a sour taste in the mouth for players who invest their time and effort into the game.
I truly hope the developers address this problem soon, as it has left me questioning whether I should continue playing at all.

This game is really something special. A great mix of resource acquisition, building and exploring. You can't build on a perfectly flat surface nor lay a railroad in a straight line. Embrace it! Instead it's just a groovy fun time with plenty of chances to prove you are a genius.

Mouse and Keyboard controls simply do not feel good. It is clear the devs did all there main play testing using controller and not mouse and keyboard.
It works but it just FEELS bad. Imagine playing with inverted x.y controls, ya it WORKS in that you can play the game its just it feels bad and gross trying to use it. That is what the entire control system feels to me.

The game is good, but something is wrong with it. It's fun for a couple of hours, but it feels like you have to go to forums and look for how to craft something. Overall, the game doesn't give you a particular goal. So, although it's cool, but it feels empty. Of course, there is a goal, but unfortunately, you have to find the methods yourself. No hints. It's a shame. The potential is good. Maybe the review will change later.

Great game, loved it. lacked a few graphic settings that would be good to have. That however is not why i'm writing this review, this game is NOT worth $30 dollars. its amazing, BUT FOR 30$ it is missing so much content. The game is closer to a glorified sandbox, than they go ahead and release a PAID DLC, when the base game doesn't have enough content. the main story line is lacking, a astronaut and these slime creatures spaceship gets blown up, the end. 10/10 game. but the price is wildly unreasonable. and don't get me started on the cosmetic shop. its not like they even have servers or something to flaunt them.

This game is fun, but the studio doesn't deserve your money anymore. Don't buy the DLC, don't buy the microtransactions, just get the game and nothing else.
Why you shouldn't give them your money:
- The game is quite buggy. If you look at an item wrong then it will fall through the floor. If you're playing multiplayer and you move too quickly then YOU will fall through the floor and then either die from fall damage or die from lack of oxygen. If you're going through a tunnel and you place something clipping into the ceiling then it will disappear into the nearest cave. The netcode sucks and the physics are janky and uncooperative. These things have been a problem for years and all they have done is release microtransactions.
- The DLC sucks. It takes everything good about the game (space travel, variety of play, relaxed gameplay) and removes it. You enter the DLC by placing a physical portal in your non-DLC world that pulls you into the DLC world, and you can't leave the DLC world until you fully complete it. You cannot bring anything into the DLC world and you cannot take anything out of it, and you do not carry any of your non-DLC unlock progress over. You can place the portal without owning the DLC, but you cannot enter it. If you are playing with someone else who places the portal and you don't have the DLC, you will not be able to enter it. If you do try to enter it, the game will pop out an ad and tell you to buy the DLC. You cannot remove this portal ever except by beating the DLC. Less than half of the people who played the DLC liked it.
- There is $700 US worth of microtransactions in this game. Not including the DLC. And you buy premium currency instead of buying the items directly. There is no way to get the premium currency without buying it. The store does that scummy thing where the amounts of currency you can purchase don't always line up exactly with the amount needed to buy the items, forcing you to pay extra for those items. They also rotate items out of the store on a "may return later" basis (FOMO).
If you want to buy the game, go ahead. I would not suggest financially supporting the studio past this.

A company that views modders as a 'threat' is a greedy company not worth buying from.
Valve figured out how to be rich AND allow mods so why can't this lousy company do the same?
