Not every licensed Star Trek game gets it right, but 25th Anniversary (PC edition anyway) is one that does. Each mission feels like it could be an actual episode, and the interface is largely straightforward. There are moments that can cause frustration, but one should be ready to try anything. Not everything will work, but keeping an open mind helps. Especially if the path forward comes from an unexpected action. Save early, save often and you'll find your way through.
(Make sure you keep the star map handy. While you can brute force your way through to figure out where to go, that's not really needed when the answer is close by.)

This game is a *fantastic* tribute to the original Star Trek show of the 60's. It features all of the voices of the original crew and you actually feel like you're in the show! The major drawback is the very crude graphics. The game was released in the early 90's on a CD-ROM! Just the fact that I can play it in 2025 on a Windows 11 machine is incredible in its own right!

I played this on my ancient 2 Megabytes of RAM PC back in the day and playing it now was just a journey of nostalgia.
It is not good in the visuals, combat, interface... okay everything, but I love Star Trek and enjoyed it.
