One of the most underrated soulslike games. Definitely worth giving a try!

Overall the game is good, good writing, voice acting, combat, and humor when its present, my real issue with this game is trying to get an optional item that is locked behind an invisible vertical maze with no hints and a moving background. Other then that, 9/10 would die again.

First attempt on this game I bounced off it, second time I came back I couldn't put it down. Great metroidvania, rewards exploring without feeling like you're constantly backtracking everywhere. The combat is great, but I think it struggles from having too many classes. The "parry" system is the dark souls style separate button to parry which is trash. But it also has a "perfect block" system that's like a sekiro style parry and far more fun. The axe guy plays into that style really well and that's where I feel like this game really shines, dodging around and parrying when you can. The build diversity is nice for replays, but personally I think a few of them are duds. Constantly a surprising game too. Nothing too insane writing wise, but good and not just "one note." Mercer's voice taunting you when you die is fun too. Definitely a little hidden gem in the mountain of indie-metroidvanias.

The art's good, the combat is okay if a bit janky, but the story is a complete mess. Even after getting the true ending I have barely any understanding of the majority of the cast. Also the ending is dragged out tbh

An underrated title that should be in the same tier as Blasphemous 1, GRIME, and Ender Lilies. Packed with lore, secrets, unique classes, and exploration. Levels are a bit linear and some bosses are bland, but overall the experience is well worth your time. It stands above most in this genre, and while perhaps not perfect, it certainly deserves more praise than it has received.

I don't like this game. I'm a big fan of Souls-like games, but the puzzles in this one left me feeling frustrated. Compared to other similar titles, the puzzles here are just too difficult. Without checking a wiki or guide, it's nearly impossible to figure them out. I got stuck in multiple places because of the puzzles, and eventually had to look up solutions online. By the time I understood how to solve them, I had already lost interest in continuing. I just don't enjoy a game that requires a wiki to make progress. Also, I didn't like the large number of Easter eggs later in the game—they really disrupted the overall atmosphere for me.
