I use to play this a lot and it's still fun. I feel it is lacking is a free play sandbox mod, as in one with out a win objective to end your game. In regards to scenarios it'd be nice to have the option to turn the mechanic to renders certain vehicles obsolete after a certain date off, but that's because I wanted to try building a transport system for a Jazz Age retro-futuristic metropolis and that mechanic made doing so impossible (cities take more than two decades to become massive so while I set the scenario to only allow vehicles from the 20s and 30s they all became obsolete as time moved beyond 1939). The game doesn't need these features and is fun as is but I still wanted to share that in case others are considering the game with plans for a project like that or mode of play without a win condition. One of the strengths of the editor is that you can restrict your competitors to specific transport types- say you want to build only railroads but also want to see buses, airplanes, and shipping simulated on the map- you can forbid your competitors in the scenario from building railroads allowing them to engage in all other forms of transport.
