At first the game seems fine just another roguelike/reverse bullethell, altho a bit lacking. Then you play a few hours and notice that most weapons and items are useless, just there to make volume and most of your new unlocks are just sooooo detrimental and f... up your runs until you purchase the toggle relic. There is like 3 good builds that you have to force most of the time to get a good run. Due to the leaderboard thingy I think the devs tried to simulate hard/competitive gameplay through the (probably) worst pool of items I've seen in a while. So it gets boring and repetitve SUPER FAST. Yeah, I played almost 50 hours of this, not because its good or beucase I enjoyed it, Im just ill of mind <|:^P Anyway, game so bad it healed my compulsion to platinum every roguelike a play. Thank you, I guess.

Cool garliclike roguelike game with a nice twist to it. I honestly just wish it didn't have a leaderboard tho. Sometimes that just ruins things in some ways especially since people will always find ways to cheat on them.

Highly Addictive Vampire Survivors and Risk of Rain 2 Vibes Game. Sound effects and art is quite charming. Thıs game feels it knows what it is and it is fully embraces its identity.

The game is fun on my steam deck when I’m travelling. Only big thing to consider before buying is that 70% of the unlockable items are inherently bad and once they are added to the loot pool the game becomes increasingly difficult and I liked that but most people won’t. Progression makes the game harder. I definitely got my monies worth with time played but I only played it while traveling. I wouldn’t play this on my PC with everything else that’s available.

The numbers go up, sure, but the gameplay stays quite repetitive.

in the end this game essentially feels like the creator just wanted to make a popular game, not a good one

Very good roguelike, and a banger when it was released, but the time its killing this game. The lack of support for Non-Meta build and more content generate that less people its playing this game or leaving it before completing the "end-game experience". Also the dev ghosted so don't expected more content, now he is rich with a budget game.

Aside from the dated humor. This is a really good survivors game that combines some of the best elements of risk of rain 2 and vampire survivors

The opening hours were great. Characters seemed unique, movement was fun to perform and a good run really made you feel strong. I still feel like each characters level-up bonuses provide a strong baseline to experiment. I don't mind the humour. It's not too distracting. You might lose a little of its charm if you don't mess with it, but it doesn't make or break the game. However, when you get into optimising builds, you then realise there's practical limits on how creative you can be. Certain items, tomes and weapons were always the 'correct' choice and others were always 'wrong'. Unlocking items felt quite grindy, making every run feel like a trudge to get them. Plus, the system which removes items from the pool is limited only to items you unlock, meaning the items you want are still diluted by everything else. It's unfair to compare different games, but having played Risk of Rain 2 and Vampire Survivors, I really expected to enjoy this game more than I did. This is all subject to change when a new update is out, but for now, I can't see myself returning to this game.

Perception of time vanishes, when you play this game. And that happens only if one is having a great time.
