Definitely a breath of fresh air when it comes to orginal idle/clicker type game. The power creep wasn't as noticable as with other games and every stage was definitely noticable in terms of gameplay change.
Cute idle game that isn't very idle
Took me around 4 or 5 hours to beat (but I also wasn't trying very hard). It plays exactly as you might think (kinda like a very small version of Cookie Clicker) with upgrades to improve your excavating abilities, and permanent upgrades between 'resets' I liked it! Very cute, and chill. Worth the money.

So, for $3, you can get a good amount of play time and it's really fun! It's definitely worth that much and then some! It took me about 5.3 hours to beat it but that does have a good amount of AFK time. I'd say around 3-4 hours to beat for many people. Still worth the money. You can continue when you beat it or you can do a new game. it's up to you. I will probably play it again some time and even if I don't I would say I'm satisfied and I would definitely recommend you pick this up!

Cute little game. You probably could beat it faster but i played it over my three hrs as a semi idle.

This is a real borderline case -- I didn't hate this game by any means. But, of the three hours that it takes to beat the game, the last two hours are just mindlessly repetitive clicking to build up resources to fill the build tree and unlock the last few sites. The gameplay is too intricate to be a good idle game and very little of it is interesting enough to be a good puzzle game. In short, Digseum surely isn't an expensive game in terms of money or time, but this is a genre with enough excellent free games that I think that this should be low on your list.

Soweit so gut.

This game is part of the relatively new "incremental" genre. It is kind of like an idler, it has many of the exponential scaling mechanics. However, instead of taking 100s hours of idle play, this game takes about 2-3 of active play to finish the game and get all achievements. It always keeps you involved and interested. Good for a boring day. Had some fun on a day off.
Digseum: The Only Museum Where Dirt = Profit
Ever wanted to dig up ancient treasures and make bank without leaving your chair? Digseum lets you do just that—no back pain, no dirt under your nails, just pure, unfiltered excavation joy. The gameplay? Click, dig, find cool relics, and slap ‘em in your museum. The better your museum, the more imaginary visitors throw imaginary money at you. It’s basically capitalism, but with old statues instead of overpriced coffee. You also get “dream fragments” that let you upgrade your digging powers because apparently, archaeology is fueled by naps. The progression is snappy, and just when you think you’re done, the game dangles another juicy upgrade in front of you. It’s like when you tell yourself, “One more episode,” and suddenly it’s 3 AM. Is it a long game? Nope. You can probably finish in a few hours. But for the price of a questionable gas station hot dog, you get a delightful little digging adventure. Pros: ✔️ Satisfying digs & museum upgrades ✔️ Addictive progression (goodbye productivity) ✔️ Cheap & cheerful Cons: ❌ No actual dirt smell (maybe a pro?) ❌ Wish there was a way to throw visitors out for bad museum etiquette Final verdict: If you like clicking stuff and watching numbers go up, Digseum is a no-brainer. 10/10, would become a sleep-powered archaeologist again.

vaguely reminiscent of that underground minigame in pokemon diamond/pearl where you dig for relics and that's pretty much the entire game. if you're into that you will likely enjoy this also

Digseum is a nice, short incremental game that is all about digging up artifacts to be able to present in your museum. This is not an idle game, however! All of the gameplay is active and overall, I found the concept to be very pleasing and enjoyable. The gameplay itself would probably get too mundane over time, but with a game as short as this, that doesn't matter because you should be able to 100% this game in around three hours of play time. Every new mechanic that gets introduced is pretty well balanced and helps to make this game a nice short trip. Pros: +Overall premise and concept is pleasing and enjoyable +Overall gameplay loop is also pleasing and enjoyable +The game is short and sweet and the mechanics help to make this game pleasing and enjoyable Cons: -The game is short and sweet. If you are expecting an idle game, don't buy this game, but if you are expecting a short and sweet, as well as pleasing and enjoyable little excursion, then this is a game that I would highly recommend.
