short and sweet game, if you ever did the uhhhh underground tunnel digs in pokemon diamond and pearl, the minigame is literally just that and kicks ass because i loved those games as a kid.

The "thumbs down" should be read as simply "not a recommend from me". And, to be fair, part of it has to do with expectations set by other incremental games I've played recently (Universe Horizon comes to mind specifically). The sole deciding factor: it's WAY too short. The primary gameplay loop is not without charm or satisfaction. Digging the little relics out is captivating in its own way, and adds a novel element of active thought to the genre. After all, the height of most incremental idler strategy is "if can afford, then buy". This one actually gives you some mentally engaging tasks to do. I'll give it credit for that, and I'd love to try more examples of this sort of engagement. The main killer in this is, it's paced at warp speed and can be 100%'d in a single sitting. Sure, it does the thing where if you shut it off, you can come back later to find your currencies/resources/etc have continued to increase, but all the balancing is planned around these swift over-generous upgrades, which means time spent in idle is all but worthless. Now, I'll stress that a game being short doesn't mean it's automatically bad, and again, I'll stress, this isn't a BAD game, it's just one I wouldn't personally recommend. If the idea of a mentally-engaging idler that can be beaten in under 3 hours appeals to you, then hey, the price is right, get it for yourself and see. Heck, you could probably speedrun it, I'm sure that's a thing. But, ehh, not for me.

what an incredible little game! I do have a true soft spot for an incremental game, but HOO BOY did this itch a scratch! Everything about this cute little game was incredible, from the art style, to the writing and the music! I loved everything about it and truly would recommend anyone considering playing to give it a go! Such a satisfyingly cute ending too! 10/10 would dig for cool relics with little blue friend again <3

Totally worth its' cost! Its a small game. Not much to it. But that's kind of the beauty of the game. Simple and fun.

I'm surprised that I was able to beat this game in under 2 hours with all the achievements. True, the gameplay loop is somewhat repetitive, but I found that the right combination of upgrades can really speed up the game. And while I wish there was a bit more to this game, I was able to finish it before the game outstayed its welcome. Would I replay it? Possibly not, but for a game which is cheap, it was well worth the price of entry to this museum of artefacts. Do I recommend trying it? Absolutely! Especially if you like the mining minigames from the Pokemon series, which this is basically like a full game built around them.

This game is like a chocolate bar. In the moment, you enjoy it, but after consuming it, the effects of satisfaction and euphoria fade away, leaving you with a sense of emptiness and the thought that it wasn’t worth it. You regret falling for chocolate bars over and over again, but damn, it was so good...
