A great entry into the liminal space genre with varied environments and plenty of substance. I especially enjoyed the Playrooms level in Chapter 1; the background environments and textures are some of my favorites to look at. I definitely recommend this game for anyone else who's into the Liminal Space Walking Simulator genre.

For whatever reason the rooms are almost completely pitch black (first level) with this extremely bright (very cool) light that comes through the windows, and I don't know if it's just my computer, but it is literally unplayable. I can't see anything; I couldn't get past the first level because the shadows/lighting was way too dark. I had looked it up to see if it was supposed to be like that for some eerie effect and it didn't seem like it was normal. Some other people had the same issue but nobody had a way to resolve it. The graphic settings are very limited so you can't see what might be causing it. Really cool looking game if you can get it to play right. That's really my only complaint.

I wish I could leave a mixed review. There is a difference between nostalgic liminal spaces and just backrooms-themed labyrinths. This game is the latter. Not liminal, but an enormous maze with liminal textures. Hours of getting lost in enormous labyrinths, which is a double edged blade. Both good, evoking dread, and bad, getting frustrating. It's not bad for what it achieves, but it won't be the next Pools anytime soon. Props for some ideas, regions of the backrooms I haven't seen implemented before like the playrooms and pinkrooms. Sadly I was unable to play chapter 2 cuz it's awfully optimised, dropping me from a constant 30ish fps to a mere 5fps.
Update: The devs fixed the optimisation in chapter 2, for which now i can confidently say that it's good taste but awful execution. Good premise, stupid puzzles. Just kept walking around the same 5 rooms for an hour without achieving anything. In the end saw a walkthrough, the "solution" was godsawful, I don't even want to touch this again.
