this game is the bees knees its 20 years old and makes most of the other strat games ive played look older you have to play with mods as otherwise the years will show i would recommend fall of the republic though others may suggest otherwise 10/10 would recommend

While being overall dated graphically and in the sense of some mechanics it is still a very welcome and refreshing experience in the base game and DLC. If you are a Star Wars fan or even just a fan of RTS games then this is one to pick up. The modding community involved in this game is one of the most dedicated I have ever seen and deliver incredible content and revitalization to this game. From other Star Wars eras to very well detailed overhauls to graphics and mechanics you should have no problem casually putting 100+ hours in.

This game has withstood the test of time and is still the best Star Wars strategy game on the market. The community is also always putting out new mods for it. If you love Star Wars and strategy games, this game is a no-brainer purchase.

This game literally created and made the staple for every space combat game after it. It's actually yet to be beaten. This game is such a legend that petroglyph actually got permitted by Disney to patch this game and then upgrade it to 64 bit from 32. That is how valuable this game is. Disney themselves saw it valuable. Buying this thing full price is worth it. I had this disk for years and ran it till the disk fell apart. I clocked almost 3000 hours on that game and nutted up to buy it on steam. Worth every second.

Childhood favorite that is still fun to play. The mod community is still going strong about 20 years after the game's release. Corey Loses mods take the game and launch it into the 2020's and beyond.
