Soo here's my rating of this game. I can recommend this game to others, but with a caveat if their computer can't handle high and ultra graphics on other games. Here's pros and cons of this game, do what you will with this information:
-PROS-
* It functions; * Fireworks look nice; * Sequencer is not too hard to understand; * Curating and creating fireworks show is pretty fun and satisfying; And here's where my good words basically run out... Beware, naked truth and strong criticism ahead.
-CONS-
* It's 2025 but game looks like from at best 2010's - 2019's eras; * No updates, basically dead game; * No way to quickly reset the position of song slider without dragging it back to beginning; * Main menu music doesn't stop playing in sequencer where silence instead of built-in music would be much more useful as the main menu music just doesn't help with focus on creating fireworks show, it also doesn't help with trying to remember how song sounds without constantly fiddling with song slider; * Pre-view only one part of built fireworks show to check if everything fits to song? That's not an option, bucko; * Camera bugs; * No support for m4a, mp4 files - that means no attempting to do fireworks show to for example 65daysofstatic's No Man's Sky album, nor to any other songs that aren't mp3 nor wav type files; * Beware: Your saved fireworks shows won't be synced to Steam could, so once you install game on new computer - your fireworks shows that you have poured your time and sanity into won't be there; * How the f- 2014 game runs at tops 25fps on 2880x1800 resolution on a gaming laptop that has beefy NVidia GeForce RTX 4060 with 8GB graphics card when other games that are newer and more complex, top out either at 90 to 100fps or more on high and ultra settings? Optimization lack much on Fireworks Simulator? * Music import selection window looks like something from older than Windows XP era; * No snap in for neat and fast placement of fireworks on the map; * Ye get ONLY 2 maps, not more, both centered around Germany, Munich and Cologne; * Sort of limited selection of non custom fireworks. There's the review of mine, if there would be an option to give meh that "~" rating for recommending to others, I'd give it, but it's Steam folks, either "yes" or "no", so for now I'll say, if you ignore the shortcomings of this game, it is alright game to play, but if you don't ignore shortcomings, then just don't get this game.
