I intend to make heavy use of the materials, and enjoyed the making-of video. All are of high quality.

As a fan of the game, I consider this content to be worth the money (especially on sale).
I especially liked all of the terminal texts being available in PDF format (Helps deciphering the Hexadecimal codes).

Eh... it's a collection of adwork and a book for the terminals for the base game. $1.00 isn't too bad. But $5 is a hard no (bought on sale, thankfully).
Linux Version Review
Bonus material comes with lots of beautiful artwork you can print out yourself (in PDF format), a digital book of all of the terminal texts found in game, and behind the scenes videos with dev interviews.
My favorite part is they give you digital retail art that comes with a DVD box sleeve and a CD label so you can make your own retail copy of the game! More developers should do this since some people like having a physical copy.

Nice bonus material, just note that although it is packaged as DLC, none of the material affect the game itself. Also, the "making of" does have spoilers depending on how far you are through the game.

A lot of things other games offer in overpriced digital deluxe editions. A bit of artwork, a 16 minutes long making of and that's about it. For fans only.

This is definitely for the fans. It's really interesting to see the developers' side to everything, how they got their ideas, their inspirations, the challenges they went through and eventually overcame.

tl;dr :
Don't bother unless you are an absolute fan of the game and don't mind spending five more bucks on it.
Not sure how much Croteam earns from this, but if you want to support the devs, I think you'd be better off buying and giving away more copies of the game.
The making-of is just 16 minutes long, and doesn't really go into the details. It's also full of spoilers, but I reckon you won't be watching it before finishing the game, now will you?
The terminal booklet is in pdf format, and incorporates the actual text. So you can actually search and copy text form it. It might be useful if you want to look a few quotes up, or convert the hex code into ascii.
The posters are 7016 x 9933 at 300dpi. If you want to have them printed, they should come out ok in their original 59.4 x 84.1 cm size, but the pictures in them are pixelated, so don't expect good results for anything larger.
(Does someone know where to find actual posters of this game?)
The rest is... not really useful.
Note : the files are in a folder named BonusContent, in the Talos Principle local game files. You have to browse your way there, or do "Browse local game files" from Steam.

First of all, the game's FOLDER is where you'll find this DLC, not the game itself. I wish they told you this somewhere.
Now, you'll be interested in getting this if you loved the game and want a bit more of its background. Mostly for the making-of video and the collection of terminal texts in pdf. The video does a great explanation of how the game was born out of developers making a Serious Sam game (which is an interesting story if you ask me). And the pdf lets you read and re-read the fascinating terminal texts at your own leisure and pace, and they're an interesting read indeed.
If you liked the game and you're interested in any of these, and got spare $5, I say go for it.
