Do like big numbers? Do like so many flashy animations on screen that you don't know what's going on? This is the game for you

Gameplay
This game is unironically really fun for me. It's a blend of an ARPG and a CRPG. Where you have 5 party members you can control all at once, as your character levels up you earn something called "Skill Badges" that you can unlock more skills. One of the feature that I like about this game is the flexible customization within class restrictions. (i.g A character with a tank skills and gear, can just be swapped to a Melee DPS character with DPS kit in a heartbeat, or you want to have more elemental skills to trigger elemental combo, etc..).
As you play, you'll come across two types of exploration: via cards and a open maps. Each maps has a sequences of cards that you have to explore linearly by through one-by-one, and each maps has a card that let you to a open map that you can solve puzzle, and explore to obtains loot.
Story
There is an interesting story to be told, if you can overlook the familiar JRPG trope: from nobody to world-saving god. You, the protagonist, are revived by the Chaos Goddess Melodia in a ditch. Melodia, an ancient goddess sealed in a ring, prompts your escape to the outside world. However, you are pursued by the Black Knight Asnida, who seemingly aims to prevent your escape with the ring. Initially, your goals are simple: explore, grow stronger, and discover how Melodia was sealed and why Asnida is pursuing you. As you explore, you meet more people, gain fame, and events escalate.
The game has some level of world building. There are explanation on how concept like souls work, what is chaos energy, what is entropy, etc... While it just a small details, it make you really appreciate the passion that went into this game
Each character you can play as (except You, the protagonist), has background story (and the 3 measurement for some reason, if it's a female character, don't ask). These are all really nice attention to details.
The Jank
This game has a lot of jank.
- The translation: The English translation is... servicable. There's a lot of translation errors, that often obscuring the nuances of the story and puzzle requirement, making thing harder than it suppose to be.
- Quest text sometimes is not very concise/unclear: Quest, at times, does not tell you where you need to go/what you need to do. (i.g A girl needs you to find her lamp, game doesn't tell you where to get it. I don't even remember where I got the lamp, I think it was me fishing in a pond somewhere to get it)
- The gameplay isn't responsive as titles like Path of Exile or Diablo. Skill execution varies, with some abilities being instant and others featuring noticeable wind-up and recovery animations, like that of Dark Souls. This may be an intentional design choice, but it can feel clunky.
Conclusion
If you can look past the jank and translation errors, the core gameplay and the story are very fun to play and sit through. One man made this game, if you can over look the imperfection, there are fun to be have.
P/S
: I played this game since it was first called "Elegy of Fate: Prologue". The dev got fucked over by a shady Chinese publisher, that somehow got banned and bring the entire catalog of the publisher along with this game off steam. This game is a 3+yrs passion project, so I'm glad it made it to release
