Very nice character. Really good damage output, has AoE damage buff and heal. Wouldn't recommend until NG+.

The additional content for Plutia, Peashy and Histoire is perfectly fine. However, for your first playthrough, I would not recommend using the DLC, as they're often stronger than the base game's characters.

After entering my group, I have used her in almost every battle. Very powerful and useful. I think for 0,99 € it's worth buying.

Historie is no-doubt, one of the most expensive to shop weapon for. But she comes with an excellent defense gear and high power magic that will outbeat any other character below 70 at lv1. And it's cheap!

I was hoping there will never be a Rule 34 for a character as unsexualized as Histoire. but the Internet and its dark, slimy appendages proved me wrong again. ಠ_ಠ

Easy mode the character Histoire destroys any monster in the game as long as she is around half their level. However during extra content like superboss fights she balances out with most of the characters. Worth getting for the character, but not essential.

It's a fairy that flies around on a flying book. No way you can't love that. Gameplay wise, Histoire's overpowered as hell. If you want an absurd level advantage, have her on your team and keep grinding the "Polytan DENGEKI Fest!" event on the colosseum, which you can unlock around chapter 6 or 7 if memory serves me well. Histoire doesn't take any damage from them, and while the first few fights might take a while to finish due to the level difference, it won't be long until you'll only be spending about three minutes per fight if you keep spamming EXE specials (Neptune's lvl 2 special one-shots them). And we're talking about 2,460,094 EXP if you have the EXP Up plan. So yeah.

Too lazy to get Ram and Rom? MAGES. just not your style? Don't fret, because Histoire takes to the battlefield for like, a dollar. Why is buying a book fairy a good idea for a dollar? Well I don't know, not like I'm going to tell you right now. Better go right on home now. JUST KIDDING HERE IT IS YOU BOZOS For how tiny and adorable Histoire is, her magic attacks hit like a 1929 Cadillac. Magic in general is a refined sort of attacking. You're not running up and smacking the poor bloke with a blade on a stick. Instead, you're letting other morons do that while you stay a safe distance away from their back, setting people on fire WITH YOUR MIND. Which is...well, Histoire's thing. Although MAGES. is a more versatile magic user with her revive skill and AOE skills, Histoire makes up for this by having MASSIVE INT and MEN stats alongside a hefty EXE Drive, which essentially means 'Yeah there are flaws but it really doesn't matter when you've been atomically rearranged'. All-in-all, character is worth buying. It's almost like some sort of karmic revenge; I'd imagine that 7 chapters of being locked away has to make you rather...twitchy.

I recommend getting all DLC for this game, at least if you like it. However, I don't recommend using any of the DLC characters in your first playthrough, because they'll spread your characters more thinly so you're less likely to get to know each character with her strengths and weaknesses in combat. Also, they range from slightly overpowered to absurdly overpowered, so it does feel like cheating. About Histoire specifically: You get her very late and she starts at level 1 when the rest of your party is already well leveled, but she has high starting stats and good equipment, so you can use her right away, as long as you keep her away from danger because her health is still low at that point. She's a ranged caster with so-so combo moves, good single-target skills, a great support skill and a great EXE Drive. Unfortunately, her EXE Drive reaches the damage limit rather early, so you'll have to get out of your way to get the plan to bypass that as soon as you can. Overall a strong to very strong character, especially during the middle game. Pair her with Plutia and bosses will melt like butter.
