I'm on the fence about this and I wish therw was a middle option between rexcomend and don't rexcomend.
The game is fun. However the only reason I purchase re-releases is to achievement hunt. Unlike the Backyard Baseball release, there are not any really interesting, creative, or challenging achievements to get that make you play the game in a way you otherwise wouldn't.
It's a children's game and I can see picking it up for nostalgia sake, but I wish more thought was put into ways that the game could have been made more challenging:
* Score with a keeper
* Unlock Mr. Clanky
* Print your certificate
* Win the game without Pablo
* Win the season as a pink team with all girls.
Etc etc. These would be fun and interesting achievements that I just came up with off the top of my head.

Just like the OG. My recommended Settings:
- Sound Settings: Turn off Mouse Button Beep and Color Comedy
- Gameplay Settings: You Cannot change them once you begin your very first match
○ Turn off Off-Sides (too finicky)
○ Turn Difficulty to Hard (still easy…)
Turn Match Length to Long (Short is 2 minute halves; Long is 3 minutes)

Love it! Back when I was in school, there were always arguments over backyard football and baseball when it came to indoor recess (despite the computer lab having 7 copies each, they eventually had to make a wait list). backyard soccer though wasn't as popular due to the finicky controls so they only had 3 copies and they were almost always available. so i got to play it a lot and snagged it up with the other 2 titles when the scholastic book fair showed up.
my only 2 complaints are
1: that the play time which is 2 mins for "short" and 3 mins for "long" seem too short. i would have made it 3 and 5 minutes instead.
2: I would have liked to field the whole team for 3 defenders and 3 forwards. but i have 2 subs and Idk if its just my game but I've had no injuries or players saying they're tired?
other than those 2 issues the game is solid would be great for any kid or "kid at heart" to own and play.
