Freedom Planet - Official Soundtrack DLC

Woofle is easily one of my favorite composers, and Freedom Planet has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. There's not a single bad song here, though personally Jade Creek 1 and Thermal Base 1 are my favorites. If you wanna have a good time please go to Woofle's Soundcloud the music there may even be better than Freedom Planet's. 10/10 best musics.

Im writing this becuz i couldnt find it in the steam music player. So all u gotta do is go into freedom planet!right-click check properties. and then u see the File with all the songs u want. (this is usefull if u want to port it into a mp3 player or ur phone) Please update this so i can use it within the steam music player. maybe 1 day

Without a doubt one of the best indie game sountracks of all time. I mostly recommend it to people that want a way to support the devs and get something small back in return, because afterall you can just listen to the soundtrack for free on youtube.

The most BANGIN' Soundtrack with what feels like music from the SEGA Genesis and SEGA CD, I love it!

It's a shame I've found this soundtrack 10 years the after game's release, as it contains some of the best music my ears have ever experienced. 10/10 fav track: Pangu Lagoon 2

If you ever played Freedom Planet then you MUST have heard this music. It melts my ears (in positive way) everytime I hear it. Also you just can't skip those extras in this sountrack, all these beta soundtracks and thank-you music Woofie has made. Seriously if you bought FP then you just MUST buy the soundtrack!

I'm not going to lie, when I first played Freedom Planet, I... didn't like this soundtrack. I don't know why I didn't, but I didn't. I was just like "oh it's ok". Then, I guess me listening to the soundtrack alone, without any of the game going on made me realize how much of a great soundtrack this is. Now, I can't go 5 seconds without thinking about any of these themes. This soundtrack is truly blessed with great skill and I desperately wish that I got this game, and it's lovely little soundtrack back in 2014 and not in 2022.

Before reading, please consider this: I would wholeheartedly recommend this soundtrack if they fixed the misleading discription. This soundtrack was one of the main reasons I decided to purchase the game in the first place and I think they did an excellent job on it. ALSO: If you don't understand what I mean by "audio quality" and "kbps" then you should look it up and enlighten yourself, don't down-vote this review for helpfulness because this isn't about opinion. Now here is the problem: The description says that the soundtrack includes "every song in the game at 320kbps CD quality." These values were obtained from opening the sound files and reading the detected audio quality. The reason I have zero hours of playtime is simply because I use a different music player than the one on Steam. If they say this album is 320kbps, then ALL of the songs in it must be at least 320kbps. I will change my review to "recommended" as soon as either the sound quality or discription is fixed. P.S. If you want a better quality version, you can get it on Bandcamp for a few dollars more.

Love the soundtrack a lot, purchased so I could hear it on the Steam Deck. Unfortunately it doesn't show up correctly under Soundtracks and instead they just give you a copy of the files in your game's install directory. Really disappointed, honestly.

This is a truly unique OST. Freedom Planet doesn't go the same, easy way for simple chiptunes that are industry standard. From the hands of Woofle, music provided for game's levels are something that you won't notice in other games. There are several points of interest you can bring up describing it. For one, game's China-esque esthetic is definitely hearable in the soundtrack, but it mixes it with "modern" 90s electronic and rock twists. References to games of the old are also present, but they refer to the era less clearly remembered by gamers: 2D games of Sega Saturn and PS One. Remember Sonic Adventure's tunes? MegaMan X4? NiGHTs into Dreams? Gunstar Heroes? While FP's OST isn't a clear mix of those examples, it gives you a clear image to what to expect. Melodies aren't as catchy as in other retro-inspired games. You won't be caught by the heath from the first few seconds of the first songs, but the unique, soft and delicate tunes will definitely win you over in span of the full adventure. Again, the ride is worth the asking price. Bought this OST within the heartbeat and I don't regret any cent on it. Surprising game and one-of-the-kind soundtrack in the mix.
