I've played a couple rounds, and this is a pretty spot on recreation of AOS. Unfortunately the player count just isn't there to get a good game going yet. Hopefully with the sale occurring at the time of this review, a few people will pick it up and we'll be able to make something happen. Until then, it's tough to say if this thing will pan out. I will say though, this is a MUCH better and more faithful recreation of AOS than any of the other freeware clones out there right now. I hope it picks up, because I'm getting some really solid 2014 nostalgia vibes playing this thing.

The game severely needs a PvE game mode because there is nobody playing this. Honestly, a "Killing Floor"-type experience would work well, especially with how you can build up a fortress of some sort and hold out. I would really like to see this game succeed but for the time being, I cannot recommend. Edit: I would also like the optimization to be better. I couldn't reach a smooth 60 FPS on an 11th Gen i3 with integrated graphics.
