Quite hard to get up and running, needs some stream-lining. But now that I do have it working, I use it every time and will continue to. I cant say that the audio sounds massively better per-say. But the directional environment it creates is amazing for immersion. Walking through markets and hearing all the voices and radios and ambient sounds in 3D is definitely a great experience for those looking to really settle into Night City like a merc or stroll through white orchard with the wind howling.

Once I got this working I was definitely able to notice a sound improvement over the 3D audio my DAC does. Only the 2 games supported, but worth it on sale for an immersion boost.

Calibrating is almost impossible, as it tells you to move your head to the side until the source of the sound is in front of you. But it does not wait for me to find that point. It instead immediatly continues with the next sample and then tells me it's finished. The result is that a slight movement of the head to the left to see the right side of the screen will make the sound come from my left side as if the sound source suddenly almost behind me. There is the optione to reduce sensitivity but when I do that from 3.0 to 2.5 (goes in .5 steps) the effect will be almost non existend anymore. Definetly not worth the money. because I bought it in a bundle with the DLC refunding it would mean that I have to refund the DLC too. So I guess I can consider my self lucky that I purchased it for a reduced price.

/TLDR: This addon is complete nonsense and a shameless scam.
You want better audio? The first step is to uninstall this and every other surround sound virtualization software you might be using. Then spend your hard-earned money in higher quality hardware (Headphone, DAC, AMP) and let STEREO do the work! You are welcome!
/FULL REVIEW:
"Embody Immerse audio" is a GIMMICK software that is sold as a DLC, promising "improved surround sound" for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3...
It actually DESTROYS the STEREO SOUNDSTAGE by creating FAKE "7.1 virtualization for headphones" with random "personalized EQs" for low quality "gamer oriented" headset models.
Under the hood, it's the same OLD GARBAGE every other fake "surround virtualization" software has been trying to sell to the gaming community for DECADES. Soundblaster, Razer Surround, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, you name it... Even Microsoft has the option to emulate "spatial sound" inside Windows 11 sound settings. They are all promising to do and trying to sell the same thing: FAKE SURROUND to improve in-game "IMMERSION" and "Positional Audio". What an absolute joke!
To top it off the software needs to be run independently every time you intend to use it in-game, and it creates a new sound device that outputs the fake virtualization to your headset of choice...
As if all that weren't enough, in order to use their software they force people to register their emails, to then scan a QR code, giving them permission to your smartphone camera, to then allow them to scan your face and let their "algorithm®" do the magic with the "3D scan" of a head that no longer belongs to you... It's now theirs, and you just bought a LIMITED license for it! Yes, it has a device activation COUNTDOWN... I mean, I have no words to describe how despicable this business practice actually is. Just the worst of the worst that exists in the gaming industry.
An insult to intelligence itself!
/REFUNDED.
