Like Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga and Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, I played Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game and loved every second of it. From the numerous and vast levels, to the hidden red hats and minikits, to even a secret character only accessible through a cheat code, Lego PotC has a ton to offer. I thoroughly recommend this one.

I felt that LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean was a fun addition to the LEGO video game series. As someone used to the LucasArts LEGO games like Star Wars and Indiana Jones, this Pirates game kept a lot of the same fun and style that I enjoyed so much previously. I liked a lot of the new puzzles and problem solving introduced here, and the theming of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies helped it stand out. The music and settings were all great, I enjoyed the new weapons and tools, and there were some new collectibles that I thought were interesting. Much like the movies, I felt as though each set of levels didn't maintain the same strength across the whole game, and by the end I was getting a little tired of it. Also as much as I enjoy these older LEGO games not using any dialogue and relying on grunts and yells, they did use the same sound effects like Jack Sparrow screaming over and over, to the point of annoying me a bit. I also felt that the hub world was lacking a bunch of features. There was no central shop screen, and trying to find characters that I needed to switch to was quite frustrating before I learned the button shortcut to select from the whole bunch. However, once I unlocked everything I was very satisfied in the end. If you enjoy the previous LEGO games like the ones I mentioned above, I think you will have a great time with Pirates of the Caribbean. It was so fun that it made me want to rewatch the better movies in the series.

This game combines the fabulous world of the Pirates franchise with the hilarious-yet-appropriate-for-kids world of LEGOs. The gameplay is enjoyable. The storyline is fun and comical. The variety of characters with special tasks is impressive. The scale of unlockables and discoverables is not as large as other LEGO games, but it is decent. I definitely recommend this game to anyone who loves Pirates and LEGOs.

I grew up playing this game on the Wii and it's one of my favorite things ever. It's low-stakes and nostalgic, with excellent elements of adventure. The music is amazing and there is so much content, but not too much that it isn't finishable. I have 100%'ed this game multiple times before on the Wii and I am looking forward to doing it again on PC!

I played this game all the way back to when it first came around, probably in 2012-2013, so this is a super nostalgic game for me. I've been seeing some people expressing that they've experienced a couple of crashes which I've also experienced, however I've only crashed about twice during my whole play-through so far I'd say? I pretty much finished the base game at around 8-9 hours and now I'm just getting extras, so the game is not too long to complete if you're looking for a shorter game to play. I love the setting in this game in comparison to a lot of other Lego games and the graphics are fairly nice overall as well, so I'd recommend trying out this game.
