While it was short lived, I've not had the pleasure of playing such a charming game in a long, long time. This shit had me feeling like the food critic guy from Ratatouille (I never watched the movie). Combat is simple but not, but also very enjoyable. I loved collecting different sets and items and exploring the maps in their whole. The bosses were solid and the minibosses were fun and rewarding. I'd easily have paid double for this game. There's a lot of creativity in this game with the character designs, items, the different levels, everything. Some of the dialog went hard enough that me and a friend quote it at eachother constantly. I can't wait for a sequel or DLC!!

Add FlyKnight to the list of games made even better with the inclusion of a fishing mini-game. It felt a lot like a mashup of King's Field and RuneScape. Fun combat, and it also has great co-op. It's really good, but really short, so I'm really sad that I really can't experience more of it.

A very short but lovely game with great atmosphere, fun mechanics and unforgettable moments of jolly co operation! The art style is nice, the environments are well designed combat is engaging and fun but not too punishing. There are plenty of secrets to discover and fun armor/weapon combos to try out. Highly recommended to grab on sale to enjoy with friends.

played this with one other friend. went in blind, only knowing that it is promoted as a soulslike game featuring bugs. finished it in ~4 hours, wishing it was longer. the art style is very stylized to look like you're playing a soulslike coop runescape. i could see it being very nauseating for some people, but for me it's very unique and unforgettable. the gameplay endorses you to explore every nook and cranny for loot and equipment that could fit or better your character better. i had hoped to see some sort of skill tree or experience system, but could understand why it probably wouldn't fit. the game is divided into 4 different parts: 1) the tutorial zone (teaching you all the mechanics) , 2) the starting zone, where you first started tasting and experiencing what the game system have to offer, 3) the semi open world zone, where exploring optional locations and landmarks rewards you with loot, and 4) the "resident evil-like" map, with a lot of back tracking and unlockable shortcuts. all these zones shows how much potential how much this game can be, but this is still a good game nonetheless. enemies vary in combat, tendencies, and require different approaches in defeating. that's why playing it with 1 (maybe 2) of your friend would be recommended, since having a mage dps and a tank is definitely preferable than going solo (although not to say it wont be enjoyable playing it solo). since this is a very short game, the story doesn't have the capacity to developed further than how it is currently. however, even with the limited time span of the game, the story is definitely understandable, and the plot pushing the events in the game is adequate if not more for how short and how open ended the ending of the game is. all in all, 8/10. i recommend playing this with your friends for a good 3-4 hours of messing around with the game mechanics.

This is the best crappy game I've every played. It feels quire retro yet has a very interesting item list. Exploring and fighting is fun and somewhat immersive. Absolutely worth the price.

Its Pretty good, but it's way too short. I hope the creator adds more content to the game. Also you move so incredibly slow to the point that when you start to understand how to conserve stamina, you're already at the last level. Also everybody's racist.

FlyKnight is one of the most worthwile and best short games I've played in a long time. The amazing runescape-esque aesthetic with bug stylization is *chefs kiss*

FlyKnight is a FPS dungeon crawler in the vein of the old King's field games, with a splash of Dark Souls type Co-Op and campfires. You play as a fly and you have your typical health, stamina, items, weight, weapons and armour. You can design how your fly looks too which is fun. In the game you travel through swamps, forests, and castle settings, while battling other insects such as wasps, ladybugs, beetles and a certain moth boss. I reached the end of the game in around 3.5 hours, but I blasted through it running past most enemies. On average I would say the game is around 4-5 hours long. + The soundtrack is awesome. Each level feels epic in scope because of the strong stoic music playing. + Lots of customisation options for your fly. + Tons of unique weapons and armour to find, each with different strengths and weaknesses for battle. + Fun interesting little fishing mini-game. + The levels are huge and are well designed. + The boss battles are well made each with their own patterns, and they all feel epic while fighting. + The game is priced right, well worth the $5.00. - The combat works fine in practice but is a bit too retro and janky for my liking. - The stamina bar always felt a bit too short no matter which armour I wore. - Since the game is short and you can't level up, its better not to fight anything, just run quickly to find the next safe campfire. Lots of fun if you're a fan of old school FPS dungeon crawler games like this. Overall: 8/10
