As I will never play the game on veteran level, this DLC is wortheless to me. I bought it in a package, but I'm really starting to loath developers that push out end game "content" to please only their most vocal players.

The first game was really fun and well done.. then they had to start changing it and completely screwed it up.
2 was "Meh" 3 sucked.
get one by itself if your looking for a D3 type RPG.

This is a short DLC, not an expansion.
Very short because character is leveled pretty high by the time InkHunt becomes unlocked; ended up just running through the maps much quicker than was expecting.
But a good follow up to the story.
Wish the story-telling was more involved, with extra npcs, more dialogue, more atmosphere, campaign kinda feels rushed or unfinished.
Worth the buy just to hear Lady Katerina talk some more.

It may be a bit short (about one hour and a half play time), but I liked it. Difficulty seemed a bit higher than the main campaign. Hey, and you'll get some more skill points. :)
I only recommend this DLC if you really liked the base game. It adds a main quest and a few side quests on four continous maps where you just fight waves of monsters with a bit of story. If you get it on a massive sale, the playtime of around 2 hours should be satisfying enough. This is post-endgame content and you might really die a lot, though. I did, so also take that in mind. If you own the TIAVH Final Cut, it should be included there without needing another purchase.

DLC Review
DLC itself needs to stand on their own. They dont have to feel cheaply made cashgrabs nor does it already should have been in the base game. This DLC fits to the first issue.
New Features/Gameplay
My worst part and most issue with van helsing was always how annoying the ink sequences were. I dont like running trough empty barren and boring looking randomly generated map pieces. Its not fun and doesnt feel in any way like quality stuff. The whole ink hunt DLC is as the name suggest just a a story trough some boring looking maps.
The whole DLC is short and can be finished in around 10-15 minutes. Looking at the price tag it would have been better to go to the arcade and waste your money there instead. The "strong story" it has is an insult. There is no more story than the description of the store page tells you. I also didnt manage to be able to fight the boss as the game bugged and he didnt appear for me. Looking online he is just a boring same looking goat monster model.
One good thing is that it seems there is a good set item drop rate.
Conclusion/TL;DR
Dont pay any money for this 10 minute randomized map mess. Its boring and just a complete cashgrab with some even more cringeworthy innuendos than the base game. Stay away.

Slightly more content that's set after the campaign.
It's buggy and about 1 hour 30 minutes long.
You don't need it.
