takes a little getting used to but covers all fronts, allows recruiting decisions and national politics, European intervention is possible, I mean it is everything short of tactical battles.

Great game, not a simple one. No pretty 3D battles or graphics, but if you like the American Civil War, and you like complex board games and strategy, this is well worth the price.
