This game is a Jackie Chan movie simulator, and it's a lot of fun. Frankly, there's a solid enough core element to the game that he could've put his name on it and not been embarrassed--the devs have clearly seen his stuff, and it shows.
It's not perfect; passives could make a bigger difference, for one thing, and the striking reach is unintuitive (which is admittedly a problem for this kind of game.) But I can't really see giving this a thumbs-down at all. It's doing what they set out to do and it's a ton of fun.

I like this game a lot. The music, level and character design, Movement animations…everything reminds me on a Jackie Chan or Jet Lee film from the late 80ies. The beginning feel satisfying and the difficulty is great in my opinion. I enjoyed ever sec

Enjoying this one very much, have played quite a few similar games but karate survivor was a lot more polished and well put together than i was expecting. The environmental aspects of this game are fun and love the old school feel well worth the chance if you're on the fence about it.

its a cool survivor game but one thing that lets the game down is the boss fights
they are way too god damn easy none of their attacks ever land so it feels pretty pointless
other than that it is fairly enjoyable maybe the survive timer can get a bit long and the shuriken achievement requires way too many super weapon kills but despite those flaws the rest of the game is pretty cool

Great fun, right up until abouthalf way through the content, when the glitches, bad code, and shit-house level interactions render it completely un-beatable. so if you enjoy violenmtly beating your head against the wall, in an effort to somehow kill the truly immortal moron sitting across from you laughing uncontrollably!? then BOY OH BOY is this the gamer for you.
Don't misunderstand me. I LOVE difficult games. I thoroughly enjoy those games that DON"T hold your hand, and walk you through, in EXCRUTIATING DETAIL! every single tiny function, of every insignificunt bullshit aspect of itself!
This. This is literally unplayable, unbeatable outside of sheer dumb luck.

Cool idea. Not fun design. With a max of like 3-4 rerolls and the way they decided to do synergies makes RNG ruin the fun. The skills come in 3 colors numbered to 18 the synergies require sequential same colors. Good runs are few and far between.

I picked this up for the "Karate" flavor as a fan of Vampire Survivors and as a martial artist. If you're expecting just a re-skin it is not that. There is a lot more hands-on approach in the timing and movement that may feel frustrating at first if you're used to Vampire Survivors, but once you get in the groove on timing, movement, etc. you will find yourself pleasantly surprised by the depth this game has to offer. I started it up for the first time last night, and I kept it on for 3.8 hours at the time of this review.
The unlock system does require you to replay maps after unlocking new things, but the map and spawns change slightly each time. I feel like there is a bit more to learn about the game, so I'm intent on spending several more hours with it. At the price I've spent during the Spring Sale, I've already gotten more than $1/hour worth of entertainment out of it. That's value IMO.
If you're on the fence about this, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised if you pick it up.

Honestly I'm a bit disappointed with this game, because I thought this is a beat-em-up games like Sifu or Jackie Chan - Stuntmaster in PS1.
so after I finished the tutorial I have a plan to refund this game, but I want to give it another chance... and I like it. it's not the games that I expected but it's fun.

The single worst thing a horde survivor game can do is not have auto aim, especially when every attack depends on which way you're facing, which of course is away from the swarm right behind you. If you didn't do that you'd just die. Because of that, most of your attacks are just going to waste in the opposite direction. This game is unplayable due to no lock-on

10/10 Game. Just like those shitty mobile games you used to play except FAR more in depth, interactive, and engaging. I only beat the first two levels and am still enjoying it and unlocking new abilities. Support the devs pls buy this game.
