A short and sweet party based dungeon crawler, in the style of games from long before my time. 8/10!

Cautious recommandation to those who know what they're getting into, as this game knows what it is and doesn't try to be more. Very simple auto-battler where the main gameplay lies in making simple strategic decisions navigating through the dungeon. Apart from one or two boring clichés & systematic sexism, ilustrations are awesome & magnified by the quaint graphics & screen filter, very charming. The somber musical atmosphere is excellent dungeon synth too, if a bit samey after a while. Character classes only differ in their stat distribution among damage, speed, health & damage reduction. Team-composition thus matters only as far as two team slots represent the frontline & are attacked more often than the backline. Progression is fully linear along leveling up & buying better gear. Everything depends on gold, everything is bought whith gold for a gradually increasing price, death is a setback, the rest is clever farming & pathing. Time passes in an interesting fashion, but apart from the enemies sporadically respawning every few hundred days (or so it seems) & a year counter putting your time in the dungeon in narrative perspective, it doesn't seem to have much meaning or role (even after completing the dungeon for the first time). The teleportation scroll (which allows a stop at the one & only haven in the middle of the dungeon) is the soul of exploration & decision making, it's nice. Exploring the dungeon for the first time is quite fun if you don't care about loot (none to find) & enjoy discovering new enemy portraits (I struggle to say "types"), but when it ends, 'tis farming 'til the end of time.

Short but enjoyable. Got it on sale for £3.65 (with soundtrack) and got a fun couple of hours out of it. Good moody dungeon synth soundtrack. You can keep playing it as the dungeon repopulates both mobs and bosses but you're not seeing more than you already have. There's no story beyond royalty tasking you to kill a Dragon that keeps returning. The store description gives you an accurate idea of what this game is. You make your way through the map with enemies popping up every few steps with combat happening on autopilot, your decision making is buying resurrection potions and teleport scrolls in town and either using them when your party gets low or returning to the entrance either the long way or by one of the shortcuts. Once back in town you can also buy upgrades for your party either by levelling them up if they gathered enough experience in combat with a gold cost or solely with a larger gold cost to upgrade their gear. Both upgrades seem to increase the same stats, it's just a cost difference. If I had a criticism it'd be that it would be nice if the map remembered the shortcuts back to the dungeon entrance. There's a sequel I'll probably try, there seems to be a few more mechanics to play around with there.

you enter the dungeon you defeat the dragon and that's it, the art is amazing and they have great concept, the battles happen automatically be aware about it before buying, still a great game I'm looking forward to play the second game people say it has more replay factor what I miss in this one, there's just one finish line and after you finish the game once you probably will not touch it again.

This was a fun short game, about 3 hours. It reminded me of Dark Designs and Wizardry dungeon crawlers. There isn't much complexity to it, and playing this made me want something a little more complicated. But for what it was--a short dungeon jaunt--I give it a thumbs up.

Adorable. Such good artwork. The gamplay was... a bit basic. But overall good :D I think the game would have been so much better with just one or two additinal maze maps. Honestly, just add two random mazes after the first dragon is slayn, and this game shoots up SOOOOO FAR on my list of awesome stuff. And it is already on there anyway. Eh... Oh yeah, I let it play for another 20 Minutes just to prevent me beeing tempted to return it. Even beating the NG++ I was still at about 100 minutes... which is why it really needs a second map. that would have easily pushed it over.
