This and its sequel have firm put themselves at the top of the bullet hell shmup games; Cave is officially no longer the top dog. Cave and its various spawn are fun, make no mistake. But this? This is a BLAST! And I'd recommend over just about all other shmups as the king. I think what puts it up there besides the awesome visuals and fun gameplay is that the scoring system is so easy to understand and it doesn't try to take pride in confusing the heck out of you.
