i do not know why would you name this game Deadly Sin 2, honestly Deadly sins 2 is way more better both in story , story telling, the plot and most of all the game-play is way improved than Deadly sins. Deadly sins 2 should just have its own title since its not even related to deadly sins 1, Deadly sins 1 was to horrible of a game it took me a year to even give Deadly sins 2 a chance and i'm glad i did since deadly sins 2 was good play.

Same problems as the first: Resolution is something like 480, with no option to change. Keyboard layout is nonstandard and *horrific*, with no option to change Controller layout is nonstandard and bad, with no option to change. Layouts are so bad that it's effectively unplayable (Extremely unfun to *keep* hitting the wrong button, because put everything in weird places.) It feels like the people who made this never played a video game in their lives... including the one they made. Otherwise they'd go "Why the **** is WASD not movement keys?"

This game is OK... I may revisit it later. Music plays way too loud in the beginning and it's very generic, story is sort of spoiled/told to you in the intro, characters didn't really resonate with me, controls don't feel good(you have to use a mouse to play this, no remapping to wasd). Nothing really hooked me, but it wasn't bad either. May be worth buying for a buck and trying for a couple hours but idk if this is really worth spending the time on to complete.

There are a lot of cheaply made RPG Maker games. This is not one of them. It is an early project from a small developer, which certainly shows in some of the writing and art. The story is familiar, with an empire and rebellion and a corrupt sect of the church, but it brings just enough freshness to keep it from feeling stale. The characters begin in common tropes, but are dynamic enough to keep you rooting for them. It’s not going to change your life, but it’s a fun adventure that will keep you engaged. There are two really strong features that set this game apart. The first is the music. The developer composed all of the music, about two dozen tracks, which really raises the bar compared to most small studios. These aren’t the short midis of many early games, but nuanced pieces with lots of layers that go on for a few minutes without looping. The other feature I would put forward as a standout is the combat system. While it can get a bit repetitive (as most JRPGs can), it brings one major system that I have rarely seen in other JRPGs: threat. The threat meter tells which party member is going to be attacked, adjusting based on how much damage (or healing) is dealt, and with special skills that can ‘draw aggro’ more easily. This system means you can’t just unload with your most powerful spells, you have to plan your attacks carefully and manipulate your enemies into attacking your tanky characters. The complex battle mechanic means that the customizable skill system and equipment options throughout the game are very rewarding. Swapping your fighter between a sword and shield and a greatsword makes a big difference, and several characters can potentially serve as tanks, healers, or damage dealers, depending on your build and preferences. The game isn’t particularly long for an RPG, about 10-15 hours. The challenge is just right, with a sliding difficulty scale in the option menu to further customize your experience, a technical system that rewards understanding and experimentation, and a balance between equipment and levels that means it is very hard to just grind levels and bulldoze through the game. It’s not particularly expensive and I feel like it’s worth well more than I paid for it on Steam. (In the interest of ethics, I went to college with the creator of this game. I feel like this has still been a fairly balanced review, but transparency is important.)

It is annoying that a RPG game cannot be windowized and provide barely any settings for users to change. Once you launch the game, it just fullscreens and the options for you are just play the game/exit the game. That is oversimplified to anti user experience. And the developer won't tell you, you can press ALT+Enter to windowize, press F1 to open setting to change key mapping, press Shift to fast pace. I figured out that for quite a while, and that apparently thanks to RPGMaker assembling the settings into the game by default, not the developer who provides.

i review games on steam after i 100% complete them! check out my reviews to see all the games i have completed! deadly sin 2 is a standard rpgmaker game, but the developer is clearly very skilled using RPGM as i've now played through this and deadly sin 1 in their entirety, and i really think these are two great rpgs. DS2 specifically is really great. the music, pixel art, as well as a multitude of different systems (questing, skills, augments, battle) are all done really well, improving on what was a already good gameplay loop in the first one. there are cool minigames like a slot machine, poker, and a lot of the side quests are really well-made. i'm very excited to try the rest of the games this developer has gone on to make as they all look to increase in quality every single release.

Wow, this game deserves an awful lot more praise than it has received! While the story may be a bit on the average side compared to the best RPGs in history, for an RPG Maker game, this game goes above and beyond. Let's see some ratings: Graphics: 8/10 (for RPG Maker, of course) Music: 8/10 (Some really nice tunes here, great work Harmonic!) Skill System: 7/10 (It's pretty good, but not ground-breaking. Being able to refund and reuse points is a nice touch, though. Any customization in an RPG Maker game is welcome!) Questing System: 9/10 (Seriously, I really like the quest tracking system, and TONS of side quests!) Augment System: 9/10 (More of this in future games, please!) Battle System: 9/10 (This is where the game really shines, in my opinion, paired with the ability to augment your gear. Being in "complete" control of your enmity, or "hate", and really pimping out your tank character to take all the hits, aside from AoE, is very MMO-ish, and I found it quite enjoyable!) Bonus: Monster Node Crystals. When you find these, they give you a shard you can use on any character to earn a skill point. Also, when deactivated, you stop getting into random encounters in that area! You can turn the crystal off and on whenever you want if you feel like getting some experience, otherwise you are able to explore without stopping every few seconds to fight! Of course, everything isn't rainbows and gummy bears, though. I have 3 gripes with the game, 2 are very minor, but one is pretty bad. Minor 1.) No steam achievements 2.) No controller button remapping (could use a remapping program to do this but meh) Huge 3.) The end dungeon/boss (spoiler free). I'm all for a challenging, decently sized dungeon to finish off a game, but when your final dungeon is about as time consuming as 1/3 the total gameplay time it took you to reach the dungeon in the first place, its a bit overboard. I'll say that there are 4 or 5 "areas" that you have to clear, in order to open up a path that you would ASSUME leads you right into where you fight the boss. Well, you know what they say about assuming, it makes an ass out of you and me. After opening the path, you're met by ANOTHER huge, sprawling area filled with tough random encounters and enemies that love instant death moves. Didn't buy accessories to avoid this situation? Tough luck, son. Finally, you reach the area where the final boss is hidden away. After some dialogue, right before you fight, you're given a chance to access your menu, which I did, and chose to save. ....Maybe that wasn't such a good idea. After being unable to defeat the boss due to a mechanic I won't mention here, I decided "well, I'll just go grind some more", even though I couldn't bare the thought of walking out of that annoying area again, even without enemy encounters (by disabling crystal). So, I loaded up my save, but to my dismay an invisible "lol f-you" wall blocked my path and pushed me back. WHY ALLOW ME TO SAVE AT A POINT OF NO RETURN?? If I hadn't (accidentally mind you) made a 2nd save about an hour previous, I would literally have had to play the entire game again, just to be strong enough to beat the final boss! TLDR - The final dungeon/boss were almost enough for me to give this game a negative rating, even after I enjoyed the hell out of the rest of the gameplay/features. (I've heard this ridiculousness existed in the first "Deadly Sin" game as well, with an end boss that was, at least at one point, impossible to beat under certain conditions) Regardless, this game is still above average, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a nostalgic trip down RPG memory lane. The added features were really unexpected but definitely help to set it apart from other RPG Maker games. The end portions of the game are a bit poorly executed, but the rest is darn good. Hopefully there will be a continuation of the series in the future. Buy the game, even if you wait til its on sale, to support the developer and future releases!

Pros: Lengthy compaign, lots of side quests and a nice epilogue Great music Challenging combat on hard difficulty. Cons: Random encounter is a bit annoying as it takes a while to get to the moster nodes. Some late game dungeons are confusing. Overall a nice game.

Great Game. I just spend 115 hours and finished the game. Had a great time, and definitely got my money worth. I am really surprised that a RPG game is of such a high level. The story line is well thought out, and the game mechanics is interesting. I also loved the concept of monster notes too. You can turn monster nodes on for grinding, and off if you need to explore. I would highly recommend this game to old school rpg players.
