Ocean Keeper excels in dynamic progression. Early runs feel challenging but fair, while late-game upgrades significantly shift gameplay. The strategic depth in choosing equipment upgrades, coupled with procedurally-generated mines, ensures replayability.

The game is super dynamic, it is one of the main advantages of Ocean Keeper. You have very little time to mine some resources and to think wisely what to upgrade before you will face intense combats. Actually as it revealed there is even some plot which gives you some basic understanding of what is even going on, but unfortunately it is only implemented in terms of reading some kind of recordings. The potential is crazy, hope devs will not abandone the game.

Combat in this game rivals Vampire Survivors in intensity, with diverse weapons that genuinely affect strategy. Combining mining and combat mechanics makes resource management vital. Minor polish needed, but the potential here is huge.

absolutely disgusted. the steam cloud feature deleted my game PC game save when I attempted to play on the steamdeck and found that the game save had not syncronised across.

Ocean Keeper is way deeper (literally) and far scarier than anticipated. 10/10 would underestimate again

Good game play and skill tree add to the replay value. Unfortunately though there are game ending bugs that they haven't fixed, this coupled with no way to restart your game and reset progress make it unplayable. Other players have similar problems in the chat which don't get addressed, similar to the bug report function which you wont hear back from. Avoid until they release a fully finished version

Fun game that will keep you entertained for an afternoon. Gameplay is similar to Dome Keeper and Wall World but a lot shorter and action packed. I 100% it in 3 hours, there's more meta upgrades I could grind for but I feel like I've seen everything the game has to offer in those 3 hours. For that reason I'd say wait for a discount, though the full price is not bad for what you get. Don't expect too much from the mining part of the game, almost every cave is nearly identical in size and layout, but some have a relic (always near the entrance), and a few have a puzzle that gives you a relic. There's not a whole lot of exploring nor is there a whole lot of depth to the upgrades. Ocean Keeper has more meta progression than Dome Keeper though, which I liked. Someone said in their review that this game is grindy... it's not. You earn meta upgrade points just from drilling blocks, so every run you'll earn meta points that can go to new permanent upgrades, and you'll earn more than enough of those if you just drill between waves. All in all if you're looking for a more action oriented twist on Dome Keeper, or just want to have fun for a couple hours while getting an easy 100% achievement, you won't be disappointed if you pick this up at 50% off.

Ocean Keeper brilliantly balances mining strategy with intense combat. Managing upgrades between exploration, combat, and resource gathering creates incredible depth. It’s addictive, strategic, and keeps gameplay fresh every dive
