Why does the story have to genuinely make me almost cry T-T

In terms of the lewd scenes, this visual novel tends to fall in line with others in the genre- not quite "How can they ever top this?" tier yet very far from being bad. It tends to lean more vanilla compared to the levels of wild furry material can go (if you know, you know) but it's still delivered well here. The art style is also beautiful and clean (aka legibility), but I knew that would be the case coming from the My Furry Protogen saga... As for the STORY, however, this novel hits hard in the feels! I felt genuinely touched by the journey that Xena and Marwen are traversing, and the writing does wonders to clue the reader in on their thoughts and emotions. The longing, the heartache, the hurting, the acceptance- every piece intertwines with each other to convey what our leads are going through. Even the h-scenes, an element typically used to simply sate the reader's want for pleasure, add emotional beats that contribute to the story more than some other novels I've read in the past. Other reviewers have pointed out a bit of frustration regarding the ending. Without spoiling too much, I kind of agree with them on that point. Cliffhangers are not ideal in what's meant to be a side story in the overarching MFP series Dirty Fox has cooking up as well. I may be able to sit here for hours thinking of and sharing guesses to WHY the writers opted to not tell us what happens in the end, to give us a cliffhanger instead of closure. I will point out, though, that the writers gave enough emotional development throughout to properly line up a cliffhanger, then actually stuck the landing instead of flopping into the proverbial finish line. In short, the writing showcases some serious chops that I appreciate from any piece of media, whether it;s totally adult oriented, completely safe for the kiddos or anywhere in between! Even though I usually don't like cliffhangers, they get a free pass for now due to serving it up as well as they did... TLDR: If you hate cliffhangers with a passion or you're looking for lewd scenes that push the envelope, this visual novel might not be the best fit for you. However, this is still a well written story I'd recommend to anyone else, especially if you don't mind (or perhaps, even CRAVE) a visual novel that ladles on emotional heart like rich, savory gravy...

Forget the free DLC. forget everything else... The ending broke me, this is the only game besides minecraft to have made me shed a single tear.

So! After playing MFP1 and the second game, Seeing that a little side-story has came out I thought to myself "Ah why the heck not, the first two were a banger this one must be gold too." And so I bought it, i held myself for a week from playing it but let me tell you, this game is a fucking menace, the visuals are overall good, very damn good, I loved them. Music as music, it's just good, perfectly fits the scenes. The story itself is absolutley fantastic, I loved it to the end. And 'bout the ending? I've sobbed for good 3 minutes before I calmed myself down, Istg if there isn't any mention of it working out, and me bro does end up going where he is going by the end (Those who played the game will know, i won't spoiler it out) I will be mad done for. This, This is peak cinema, Fuckin' great game, would reccomend to anyone who's into novels like this.
