I really wanted to like this game, as I'm a big Star Wars fan, but it's hard to recommend. From my experience, the majority of the bugs have been rectified, but I believe this game has fundamental game play faults.
The gunplay was fun at first, but I soon realized the sheer lack of options in combat. you're stuck with your blaster the whole game, and get to do a few upgrades that feel shallow, and mostly used as a way to advance the story line. You're able to pickup weapons, but it was an intentional design choice to make them temporary and clearly stronger than the main blaster you use. As a game that focus on it's open world aspect, (such is Ubisofts style), it greatly lacked enjoyment. I got pretty bored of the combat after the first few hours. The ship combat was a little more interesting, but still greatly lacked diversity. Everything felt more like a chore. From the contracts, to all the codes and collectibles which were used to upgrade the already overused blaster.
The story was... meh. I wasn't a big fan of Kay. She didn't learn from almost any of her mistakes. I didn't grow attached to any of the crew, and the relationship with her and ND-5 felt shallow, and underdeveloped. There were some twits here and there, but it was hard for me to get invested when the characters felt unimportant. The Dialogue was all pretty rough around the edges, even cringe at times. *SMALL SPOILER* The ending mission just had Kay end up exactly where she started, but with a ND-5, a ship, and none of her original goals achieved.
The graphics were pretty decent though, no real complaints there with most the bugs fixed. Although, the game did crash my PC a couple times.
I picked this game up on a 35% sale, I'd recommend it that way if you intended to give it a try.

Great idea, poor execution, game so janky you'd think it's a low budget game by an indie team made in Unity engine instead of being made by an AAA company, which is just an embarassment in itself, grab it only on a big sale because for its current price its just not worth it, except if you are willing to pay more if you're a Star Wars fan but other than that its just an average ambitious game where most of its ideas fall flat in their execution, but atleast its got great graphics and some nice open world elements here and there, which is always a plus in my book, and its the only open world Star Wars game we got so far.

Star Wars Outlaws, set in the criminal underbelly of the Star Wars universe, offers an ambitious open-world experience where players navigate a galaxy rife with danger and opportunity. The game captures the essence of being a rogue on the run, blending space travel, smuggling, and high-stakes heists. While the setting and premise are exciting, the narrative struggles to provide the depth needed to make its characters truly compelling. Despite its potential, the game falls short in delivering a truly transformative character arc for various characters, which affects the emotional impact of the story.
The story follows Kay Vess and Nix, a rag-tag duo trying to carve out their own path in a galaxy ruled by criminal syndicates. While the premise is engaging, the execution leaves something to be desired, particularly in Kay's development. Other story narratives typically show characters growing and changing due to their experiences, yet characters feels largely the same at the end of the game as they do when they are introduced. This lack of progression diminishes the stakes of the journey, making major story beats feel less impactful than they should be.
Gameplay in Star Wars Outlaws provides a mix of third-person combat, exploration, and spaceflight, offering a variety of activities for players to engage in. Gunplay is serviceable but lacks the weight and fluidity of the best shooters, making combat encounters feel somewhat standard. The open-world elements introduce an impressive amount of freedom, yet the missions often rely on familiar tropes and repetitive objectives. While the ability to interact with different syndicates and choose how to approach missions is a highlight, it doesn't always lead to meaningful changes in the story.
Visually, the game is a stunning recreation of the Star Wars universe, featuring beautifully detailed environments, immersive lighting, and well-designed character models. The various planets feel distinct and lived-in, creating an authentic and rich sci-fi world for players to explore. Animations and facial expressions are solid, but some cutscenes suffer from stiffness, occasionally breaking immersion. Despite minor inconsistencies, the overall presentation does justice to the grandeur and grit of the Star Wars galaxy.
Overall, Star Wars Outlaws delivers an exciting adventure with engaging gameplay and breathtaking visuals but falls short in its storytelling and character development. Kay's journey, while full of action and intrigue, lacks the emotional depth needed to make her arc truly memorable. The gameplay offers a variety of experiences, though some aspects feel underwhelming or repetitive over time. Despite its narrative shortcomings, the game's attention to detail and immersive world-building make it an enjoyable experience for Star Wars fans.
Star Wars Outlaws gets a 6/10.

Well, after 143.8 hours - I have completed all the main quests and DLC for Star Wars Outlaws.
I have to say, at first, I thought this game was sub par and wouldn't meet my expectations. Boy, was I wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed this game - and as a lifelong Star Wars fan, it definitely is something I would look forward to playing again if there is a potential sequel.
Story was outstanding - the ending had me a bit emotional as well. 9.5/10 from this Boomer.

Game is.... meh... average at best (6.0/10). The game feels like it was created by amateur story tellers and a team game level designers who are new to the industry.
Downsides:
1 .Character development is boring. Nothing worth while. You don't feel a sense of care for anyone, even your own team.
2. The ending doesn't feel climatic, largely attributed to the poor overall uninteresting story.
3. Graphics ugliness, this is largely attributed to the the over reliance on NVIDIA DLSS and reflex. Disable them and you get to to see how badly optmised the game truely is... to the point it is unplayable.
Good:
1. Game play feels okay...... thats just it.
Overall:
Get this game when it is 90% off. It is decent to pass the time when there is no other games to play out there.

Better than all the trendy angry gamers would want you to believe. It's not a masterpiece, but it's great at what it does well and really satisfies that Star Wars itch. It's basically Star Wars Assassin's Creed. If you're good with that- you'll love the game. I think it has the best space exploration and space combat of any game I've played since ME.

After a long series of space crimes (predominantly murder), Kay Vess finally managed to unravel the sinister Crime Lord Ubi Soft's plot and find The Video Game (tm). It was then uninstalled and the galaxy is now, finally, safe.
Liked:
- The Cartoon Rabbit.
- The actual main line story missions were pretty good.
- The fact the criminal syndicates would repeatedly ambush me whilst doing missions on their behalf. "Gortash sent us to stop you, Kay Vess. Stop you from doing this job for Gortash!"
Disliked:
- Nothing in the open world felt valuable or useful at all. Beautifully designed planets, full of trash.
- Pretty much all of the characters except for the Cartoon Rabbit, and I guess the bat alien who likes blowing things up like a D&D rogue was OK.
Star Wars Outlaws: There's a video game in there somewhere. Recommended for people who are willing to wade through a thousand miles of Ubisoft to find the occasional glint of magic.

No matter the issues this may have had on launch, they are fixed now and this is now a great game. They nailed the Star Wars atmosphere, the story is fun, the gameplay is fun. I had a good time. What more do you want from a game?

i wanted to like this game so bad. I just don't possess the willpower needed to get into the story. Generic dialogue, lax story. I enjoyed the combat for what it's worth, but there's very little evolutionary mechanics on display here. If you're looking for anything except an Uncharted game with B-movie dialogue and worse character development, i would skip this until there's a deep sale.

I've played this game to it's fullest, 150+ hours to complete the main story along with everything I could possibly do along the way. I only got the gold edition for the DLC's. I think it's a great game and to me it is worth the price of the gold edition. Comparing it to other recent Star Wars titles, it may not have the strongest story line but it's still a good story and to me it was very entertaining. The game has copped a lot of shade by a lot of people and I can't see why, maybe they missed the point of the game. Being an open world game you need to explore everything and find as much loot and interesting things as you possibly can, and not all of it will be spoon fed to you. I will say I've hit a lot of achievements that very few other players have achieved before me, like 1% for some basic things like doing 40 contracts (I did 40 before even leaving the first planet) and that tells me most people are just powering through the main story and not exploring all there is to this game, which a shame. I think this game gets worse reviews from people than it should. Sure it's not revolutionary but I think it's a good game.
