I wasn't sure what to expect when I first got into this, but I ended up really enjoying it. Not only is the premise interesting, but the gameplay loop is rather satisfying also. You go from room to room, exploring each part of the randomly generated castle looking for items and your lost relatives while also dispatching whatever enemies come your way. Certain enemies can spawn in any part of the castle, even areas you've already cleared, so you're never safe. I found myself getting consistently scared while playing, even the sound of my character stumbling managed to give me a jump one time. Now despite all the things this game does right, there is one important thing to address: This game is really old, and it shows. The animations, movement, sound effects and ai are quite janky, and a lot of the rooms look very similar so its super easy to get lost.
So despite getting frustrated at trying to find my way back and trying to convince my relatives to continue following me without randomly stopping, I had a good time with this game and it gave me a good scare. If you're a big fan of vampires and old janky fps games like me, I totally recommend this. I didn't even mention the best part, it's super cheap. I got it for less than a euro on sale. Can't argue with that.
