A good sequel that expands on the original plot but not by much honestly.
I just hope this doesn't end up spiraling out of control with 15 entries in the series like other franchises.
However I feel there's some things that could add more depth to the game:
Having Riley have her own voice would help, she's not a nameless protagonist anymore, she has a reason to be here and investigate, I for once feel like that would help a bit with long moments of silence.
That or maybe add more depth to the mechanic of the walkie talkie, having an ally didn't really do much honestly, you do every discover yourself, could use it for whenever you're stuck for a hint.
I say the game's stronger point are the puzzles that are far more creative, but again, some hint system for when you're absolutely stuck could help a lot.
Recommended if you enjoy the first game like I did.

A [Meh] puzzle game; I highly recommend playing the first one. Otherwise, it would be out of place with the puzzles.
It's a weaker sequel to the first one; the first one was better all around. This one is easier with puzzles, but it might be harder to get into it; overall, a bigger place might have ruined the vibe.

This game man... I have too many mixed feelings about this game;
I did enjoy the content of the game overall... however with the current state of the game we're currently in, I cannot in good conscious recommend this as a completed product. The first puzzle of the game even with the rework expects wayyyyy too much of the player, things just aren't communicated well enough to lead players into the right direction. There's too many different overlapping paths that can softlock you for just doing basic exploration, for many players, this has resulted in REQUIRING you to manually delete your save file to progress from more than halfway through the game.
Ontop of this, ever since the Localization patch in March 2025, there's been an overwhelming amount of people (myself included) that have reached a certain point in the game and just... could not get a certain clue to spawn, specifically the 3rd clue of the microfilm puzzle.
Let me rephrase that: If you UPDATED THE GAME after March, it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to complete the game offline without looking up a guide and realizing "this puzzle doesn't work".
I've also experienced a bug that makes it so that the secret cube tape never spawns despite having all other puzzle's completed, effectively softlocking you out of the secret ending.
I want to like this game, I don't dislike any of the puzzles persay (they just needed more work to them), lorewise I don't hate the story (it could've been better but it works for what it's trying to set up in the third game that's been announced)
It just feels like the devs stopped caring about the quality control after the last patch went live, all links online for bug reporting have since went offline and the only real way to contact anyone is direct email, meaning they've actively moved on to their next product without fixing this one.. and it's really sad to see it ended as a broken mess.

Encountered 2 game-breaking, progress-stopping bugs in 4 hours, one AFTER reinstalling the game (Pig and Microfilm). Fix your game.

I never thought there'd be a sequel to this game, but here we are, and it's honestly better than the first one, the puzzles take a it of time to figure out, but they aren't necessarily difficult, all around this is a solid experience and I look forward to the final part of this trilogy :3

I found it inferior to the first one. Some of the puzzles were way too obscure, especially the first one with the books which was apparantly changed for the worse in a recent patch. It was not a good start. There was one game breaking bug near the end which was reported on discussion boards yet not fixed when I played it.

Just finished this second chapter.
Definitely, the first one is better.
Still, for someone who really liked the first game I would suggest trying this as well.
I like the first one a lot and I wanted to play more, I’ll be waiting for the 3rd as well :)
Riddles are nice, more intriguing than the first, I really liked those. But the plot is not so captivating. You have a good premise. but it didn’t exceed much.
Pros:
-Amanda can be more cruel
-Lots of Very good riddles
-Larger space to investigate
-A decent follow up to the 1st game
Cons:
-Lacks any story (unless you find the secret tapes ofc)
-Tapes are not so intriguing like the first game, a bit boring
-The library setup is too confusing
As the first game starts completely blind and you become familiar with the lore and Amanda’s story and misteries, this second chapter doesn’t exceedes in giving more Lore, it gives a confusing setting

Let me just start by saying I don't think this is necessarily a bad game, and I did enjoy my time with it, in the end. However, I cannot recommend it solely due to the fact that I don't think it needed to be made. The original game was a perfect length for what it was, had great, unique puzzles throughout, and was all contained within that one little room in the attic. It told just enough story, just interesting enough, and I also felt it didn't take itself too seriously.
The sequel is a bit more of the same stuff, but taking away factors that made the original great. The area is a lot bigger, it takes itself too seriously quite often, and while it's still a short game, it feels like it overstays its welcome. By the time I got to the end of the game, I was just ready for it to be over.
I don't think I ever needed help on any of the puzzles in the original. The sequel, I had a guide open the entire time, because most of the puzzles were so obtuse. I think having a bigger area made things more confusing. On top of that, puzzles are constantly rehashed - having to look through books in the library to figure out combinations, filling in tic-tac-toe, etc. Not to mention one of the first puzzles, while incredibly clever, was over-the-top difficult for being one of the first puzzles.
If you liked the first game, you will probably not like this one as much. I'd say just play the first game.
