A nice Part 2 of the Amanda the Adventurer series. I will say that it made less of a lasting impact than what the first game did, but still worth a play through. Game still had its moments of fear and still had me interested all the way to the end. 7/10

Can't recommend. As much as I enjoyed the first game and enjoyed parts of this one, it seriously needs more polish.
While most are okay to figure out, some puzzles could really use clearer direction.
There are quite a few bugs that stop you from progressing, and an egregious one that stops you from being able to get the green lore tape, which, considering how much trouble it is to figure out in the first place is ridiculous. I currently CANNOT get it, which stops me from being able to properly complete the game.
I also don't feel like we got a whole lot more added to the story. Which, to be fair could be because I'm unable to get to the last lore tape, but it doesn't feel like this game really moved things forward by much, if at all.
EDIT: WOW. So, I did some research and it turns out since I can't get the green tape, I CAN'T GET THE 'TRUE' ENDING, and am missing out on quite a bit. Very cool.

Story was good, puzzles were great.
Wasn't really a horror / scary, hope they make a 3rd game but to make it way scarier.

I really love this game. Don't get discouraged on the difficulty of the first puzzle. It has been changed several times through the course of this game being released, so you're not the only one. Once you get past the first two puzzles they become more linear. I enjoyed the story more than the first one, it made me want to complete the puzzles to learn more about the story. I even liked how bratty Amanda is in this one for some reason. Re-watching the tapes is also not pain-staking like you would think. The game gives you numerous different options to respond with that change the character's reactions. It feels like getting a new tape sometimes.
The only con I have about this game was the monotony of scanning and searching for so many books throughout the library.

I don't know if this is happening to anyone else but on the second puzzle the tape won't add any coins to the piggy bank or take any away. I have tried restarting the game and my computer but it still bugs out. Thank you!

SPOILERS FOR THOSE READING THIS REVIEW!
I will say, not gonna lie, while I absolutely enjoyed this game, getting all the achievements at last; it was really difficult with the book coding level! I'm sure it's been fixed and updated though. I had to research online cheats for some of it, not knowing it was A HELLA LOT OF BOOKS! Especially having to be attentive and look real good on the shelves for the bar codes on the books missing. The cassette tape for the recorder (Do you feel safe? tape) for the true ending also took time for me to figure out. Even though I gathered all the lore tapes! I didn't realize til after that I had to watch all the Lore tapes in order, without skipping, then watch the "Do you feel safe" VHS tape for last. That finally got me the possum character popping up in the alley with Amanda and Wooly, then poof, Casette pops up! Maybe possibly give more clues in the future? That's my two cents. I enjoyed it regardless.
I still recommend this game for the lore and the cliff hanger at the end just makes me want more! AGGGGH! I CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE!

It's just nowhere near as good as the first one. The puzzles are way less fun and interesting. It feels way more linear despite having a bigger hub area. The plot goes nowhere either.

I cannot recommend this game at all. Just get the first one, it is better in every aspect. This feels absolutely amateurish compared to the first entry in the series.
Game gives:
-No directions to some puzzles.
-No indication on what your progress is in terms of endings or game progression. (other than steam achievements)
-No respect of the players time, due to how bad the checkpoint system is sometimes.
There are multiple things indicating that they just copy and pasted the original project and switched things up (indicated by literally having a bunch of assets in the files, straight from the first game in the series).
This game feels like a typical mascot horror release, and a DLC to the first game rather than a sequel. The story (without spoilers) is basically just "We know the story was unfinishes, let us poke more holes into it and just say we'll fix it in the 3rd entry in the series."
Banban ass release structure.
