Skill tree menu is truly arse, you have to click a skill then drag your mouse to click "Buy" instead of double clicking on it to buy or even better make a dedicated buy button like "E" as confirm when we choose upgrades whilst in battle. Leveling up felt slow, and I don't understand why skill tree is separated when most of the common stats can be unified as general upgrades and shared for all instead of having to buy every skills all over when unlocking new character. Soulstone did it much better in the skill tree department, in which newly unlocked character has a chance to survive on the max difficulty of first map, than on Twilight which new character can kiss goodbye in even first map of second region, cause need to buy skills THEN need to unlock LORE for next bunch of skills. Additionally good skills which is tied to another character weapon which can't be used by other charcter means you have to give up one slot of wasted super combo. Will give this a thumbsup 'cause it's plenty cheap. So not really any regrets, just a bit annoyed. For those that enjoy Survivors, grab it and give it a go, maybe it's your thing, I will just return to Soulstone whilst occassionally suffer here again. NEUTRALLY RECOMMENDED

Top tier looking and incredibly well optimised bullet heaven here, and excellent value for money, especially if you like Steam achievements. However, WHAT THE HELL ARE EVENTS? I'm a grown man, I am not going to follow a Twitter page and juggle multiple meaningless codes to try and make a thing happen. It feels like it's impossible to continue with my current character until I do 10 "events" but who in the hell knows what this even means? Still, for £2.49 I will still leave this review as positive, because it is fun. But yeah, come on bruv.

TLDR; Fun Survivors-like with a colourful cast of characters. Worth your money, worth your time. Bought this silly little game on a whim, I love Survivors-likes, and this scratched that itch. Very much has a similar play style to Vampire Survivors, so you know the concepts are all solid. Very fun and bizarre characters with vastly different styles of play. Lots of content to go through and plenty of power combos to discover. This particular Survivors-like focuses in on the Kwent card system. These cards will drastically power up your characters and beef up your chosen play style. This game also features map events which allow you to strength your character during the run. This can be anything from getting a temporary buff, getting a new skill or weapon, to even challenging mini-bosses for more item drops. The final unique aspect is the lore tab. Character upgrade trees stop at certain intervals and the player is required to complete objectives to unlock the next tier of upgrades along with more of that character's story. The player will also be rewarded with gold for upgrades and, at one point, a unique Kwent card that boosts that character's play style. At certain intervals, global rewards that carry over to other characters are given in the form of rerolls and banishes for weapons and skills. There's not a lot wrong with this game, but there are a few problems. One, each character has their own upgrade tree and this may annoy players having to go back just to catch up in upgrades. Two, you get some characters very late in the game and it almost doesn't feel worth upgrading them unless you're going for achievements or are invested in the lore. Three, hit boxes are iffy at times. I found myself just out of range of my enemy, but still getting hit. There are also charging enemies or projectiles that charge endlessly, while others stop where indicated. The problem is that the indicator is the same on both so your first time is spent guessing which one it could be. Four, Bennimaru, a late game character, has a special skill you need to hold down the spacebar for it to activate. Sometimes, if you're quick on the draw, he won't charge this ability and will dash instead. I bring this up because it happened a lot, more than I care to admit. And lastly, some of the end game challenges rely heavily on RNG. If you're not given a good start, it's not even worth playing the run. Even then, if the run gives you bad drops, you'll get get mobbed because you can't clear the board fast enough. I knew I could do these runs, but waiting for the right drops made me feel like the game wasn't in my hands anymore despite being maxxed out with upgrades. Like I said, good little Survivors-like. It's a lot of fun and straight forward. Any frustration you'll experience is because you know could beat the level, but got beaten down by something cheesy. Hope this helped, have fun and GG.

Twilight Survivors is far more enjoyable than I expected for an obvious Vampire Survivors clone. The graphics are nice, the controls are very simple (of course), and the replayability with different characters, each with a talent tree, is solid. This is not remaking the genre at all, but it is a place to have the mostly mind-turned-off fun that made the genre famous. If you can get this on a good sale and like VS, pick this up.

Graphics from spell effects can be overkill blinding you from everything going on and where you are. Also graphic glitch when changing direction suddenly . Very fun vampire survivors type game, progress feels fun and character leveling and unlocks are fun so far. Would say this is a bit more laid back than vampire survivors which I actually enjoy. But again if you have problems with lots of flashing abilities you might want to skip this one. 9.65 out of monkey.

A very solid Survivors-Like. Fun characters with steady progression. I've gotten 36+ hours so far and am still enjoying it. I have a few levels left to unlock, but I did spend a lot of time on earlier levels just messing around instead of progressing, so your mileage may vary. But right now the game is worth WAY more than its price, and it's still being updated.

Great graphics, easy on my eyes, super enjoyable to play. It doesn't have as much content as similar games in this genre, but the graphics and ease of gameplay make it 100% worth the price.

An excellent entry into the Horde Survivor genre of games. It can be crazy a grind for anyone looking to unlock all characters and max skill trees but I'd argue that that's what you're here for with this type of game anyway. I really enjoy the characters and their skills. The vast majority of skills feel impactful and genuinely useful, which goes a long way to providing variety in runs. That said it can be really easy to power through with just one character and just one item combination so I'd suggest limiting your playtime to a run or two in a sitting then taking a break to avoid burning out. An easy recommend for anyone already initiated into this genre. If this is your jumping off point just prepare yourself for the grind.
