to start with, i am bad at this game. you should still play it though. very fun idea and i have enjoyed my masochistic support role in this dungeon crawler. the roguelike element does add a lot to it. it also makes me lose my mind. it does have its glitches but nothing that overwhelms what i think is a unique idea the develpers succeeded with. tip: there are hidden room to watch out for with switches in the environment.

A unique and incredibly entertaining procedural dungeon rogue-lite. Healed to Death is essentially a WoW dungeon simulator where you create a party from a shuffling assortment of DPSes, Tanks, and the Healer which you will be controlling. Build your healing and support toolkit and try and keep your party alive long enough to complete the dungeon.
The healing spells are incredibly fun to use, their upgrades are impactful, and randomly generated items scratch that dungeon crawler itch.
Other reviews complain about the simplistic AI of your party, but I don't think it has any negative effect on the gameplay or makes the game any harder. You can easily use the "Follow Healer" command to move your party out of puddles, and the game's combat is specifically MMO-inspired, so a lot of standing around and tanking is to be expected.

This is not a very good game but... its got 26 hours out of me. thats pretty good.
its easy to understand but has some depth in party combination and item bonus stuff like diablo.
a dungeon can be finished in an hour or so but i find my self wanting to playing again.
what makes it not very good is the lack of polish and content. The content isnt that important. but it doesnt have much. i have barely touched the other two dungeons which you cant get to until you beat the 1st real dungeon. but they kind of seem like the same thing only harder.
the polish means things like... i have not found a way to save the game while in a dungeon.
there is no next target ket that i could find and it can be hard to.
have to pay attention a lot. there is not a lot of feedback.
i have to tell things to move around occasionally. very occasionally. some bosses that appears a mechanic as part of way to defeat them. trash mobs dont seem to need this much.
anyway for 15 bucks... its not bad.
i like dungeon crawlers though. particularly party based dungeon crawlers with some positioning in some form. and there are not many of them.
edit:
i was wrong there are 6 dungeons not including the tutorial dungeon. i have beaten 2 of them.
I do not expect that the other dungeons are much different than the first two.
still playing it.
70 hours in... its still not a great game. but im still playing it.
almost have the last dungeon cleared. i understand the part stuff better. found the dps meter.
almost have all bonuses maxed.

Fun game that scratches the itch of healing 5 mans in WoW. There's some rough edges here and there and it could use some more variety of enemy visuals, but it's quite fun to actually play if you enjoy MMORPG healing.

Damn. 7 hours straight. Healer/support main in almost all games I play is the reason I guess. And I love the pain of healing randos in raids/dungeons
I will leave a positive review as a fun replication of a dungeon run from a healer perspective. Mainly just for the skills and not so much the team mates as your "companions" don't have much intuitive AI design to them other than rotations and combat. They are dead weight for mechanics and you have to drag them around. And I mean drag them ALL and not just certain members who may be standing in death.
I am sure another game, HOPEFULLY THIS GAME, creates a more immersive experience with your companions so they have some semblance of cooperation. Even though this game is basically a satire on the experience a healer goes through with pugs and randos so it would be fun to have a "pinging" system that basically alerts them from an area instead of needing to literally drag the full team at once.
I understood what this game was going for, and I did for a hot bit say "I could see this happening in x game". It was fun to see a dev relate and literally make a game about their pov as possibly teaching those DPS a lesson. I look forward to more from this take.

I wanted to love this game but I cannot get past the first actual dungeon without the game crashing.

It looks like a game you would get on a demo disk in 2003 and I love it. The gameplay and mechanics are the tight, the only downside is that sometimes the positioning of your partymembers gets overwhelming and annoying. Also, once you unlock all healing spells you definitely need more banishes.
15 is a little steep, but at 10 I'd say buy it in a heartbeat.

The micro managing of the party movement to avoid AoE's and basically everything on top of trying to keep everyone alive doesnt feel good to me. Its the number one thing healers hate allies just standing in red until you beg them not to (Yes its just a command to move them but even then the movement AI is dumb as hell and will still walk through OTHER AoEs). Everything else about the game is great IMO. The party movement just sucks the fun out of the game REAL quick.
