I checked this out because it has strong Persona 1 vibes and I'm always on the lookout for RPGs in modern settings but damn... WTF were they thinking? Exploration is bad, encounter rate is almost insane, combat is awful, graphics are ponderous (other people are levying accusations of AI generation but I'm not an expert on that, I do think everything looks really generic though), voice acting is uninspired and seemingly only in battles so what was even the point, the plot is also kind of generic too but if you're willing to check out "high schoolers vs demons" then you know what you've signed up for. Unfortunately the English translation/grammar is also bad so I'm just going to request a refund.
I thought this game was Korean but the audio is Japanese and the game starts in Japan as well so maybe I should've tried playing it in Japanese instead... that still wouldn't solve the core issue of the game sucking though, really stereotypical Unity slop... BTW if you're looking for a legit retro style Japanese dungeon crawler (albeit one with literally 0 story or flare and 100% repetition) then consider checking out QUESTER or QUESTER | OSAKA instead of this. Those games probably can't be enjoyed by 99.99% of people, but if you're part of that 0.01% you'll have a great time. FWIW I wrote dubious reviews for both those games too.

This game uses generative AI character designs. That's not a secret. They had to confirm that on their Steam page. But it's still worth mentioning.
It's also worth mentioning that their "Orthus" design was flat out stolen from another game. They took down the screenshot of it when they got called out for it. You do fight a different "Orthus" in the game, so I guess that release day delay was to give them time to boot up the design generator and make sure the final game had...y'know, less plagiarism in it.
But okay, AI art and such aside, is the game any good?
Nope! Clunky translation, boring battle system with some of the worst visual interface I've ever seen, crappy maps that stop you every few steps for mandatory NPC dialogue, and some genuinely awful music.
Look, I was excited when I heard there was a Korean DRPG inspired by Megami Tensei. I wanted to have hope. But the more I learned, the more let down I was, and now that I've actually played it for myself, even though I don't like giving negative reviews, I want other people to know what they're in for.
Save your money. Buy Advent Crossroad instead.
